Rajasthan Ghoomar Dance Charms Devotees During Kalpavriksha Vahana Seva-05

Traditional art forms presented by artists from different states during the Kalpavriksha Vahana Seva on Friday morning, the fourth day of the Tirumala Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams, delighted devotees.

Organised by TTD’s Hindu Dharma Projects, the cultural performances added grandeur to the vahana seva.

551 Artists from 8 States

A total of 551 artists from 21 troupes representing eight states performed in the Mada Streets of Tirumala.

The performances included Rajasthan Ghoomar, Karnataka Dollu Kunitha and Suggi Kunitha, Maharashtra drum performances, Telangana Bathukamma and Raas-Garba, Uttarakhand folk arts, and Andhra Pradesh Kuchipudi, Chekka Bhajana, Dappu, Jalari and Kolatam, among others.

The vibrant blend of traditional art forms from different states created a colourful cultural atmosphere, while the divine darshan of Sri Malayappa Swamy on the Kalpavriksha Vahana filled devotees with devotion.

EO Honours Four Best Troupes

TTD EO Sri Muddada Ravichandra honoured four best-performing cultural troupes with shawls:

SV Music and Dance College – Sri Balaji Troupe, Bharatanatyam, Puttur, Andhra Pradesh – 23 artists.

Annamacharya Project – Sri Kenchappa Troupe, Suggi Kunitha, Karnataka – 23 artists.

Dasa Sahitya Project – Sri Rahul Mukherjee Troupe, Odissi, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh – 27 artists.

Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad – Sri K. Nagaraju Troupe, Dollu Kunitha, Bengaluru, Karnataka – 30 artists.

The cultural performances during the Brahmotsavams are showcasing India’s rich traditions and adding spiritual and cultural grandeur to the celebrations.

The grandeur of the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams, being celebrated in Tirumala, is also reflected across Tirupati city. TTD has made extensive arrangements with colourful illuminations and devotional decorations to create a festive and spiritual atmosphere for devotees visiting Tirupati to witness the Srivari Vahana Sevas.

Major roads, junctions, TTD buildings, parking areas and holding points across the city have been beautifully illuminated. Special lighting arrangements along the main routes are particularly attractive at night.

Divine Illuminations Add to the Festive Beauty

LED welcome arches and illuminated displays of Srivari Dasavataras, Lord Maha Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi with Lord Vishnu, Lord Venkateswara, Viswaroopa, Hrudayalakshmi, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna and Ashtalakshmis have been installed at major junctions.

For the first time, illuminated artificial elephant decorations have been arranged at Garuda Circle, adding a special attraction to the city. The Garuda statue circle, Alipiri Tollgate Circle and other key locations have also been decorated with special illuminations.

LED Displays Provide Brahmotsavam Information

LED display boards have been installed at important locations in Tirupati to provide devotees with information on the Brahmotsavam programmes, Vahana Sevas and other related activities.

Special Focus on Electrical Decorations

As per the directions of TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu and EO Sri Muddada Ravichandra, and under the guidance of JEO Dr. A. Sarat, the Electrical Wing of the TTD Engineering Department has taken special care in making the illumination arrangements.

The colourful illuminations and devotional decorations have transformed Tirupati into a vibrant festive city, reflecting the grandeur and spiritual splendour of the Srivari Brahmotsavams.
