18 States to Present Cultural Bonanza During The Brahomotsavams - HDPP Chief




Tirumala, 2 Oct. 19: Devotees and pilgrims who thronged to witness Srivari annual Brahmotsavams will get an opportunity to feast on popular dance formats of India like Norda, Baredi, Akhara and Katta Dance Of Madhya Pradesh, Puja kunithan of  Karnataka, and Bhrigu Dance Of Assam.

For the first time TTD has invited 18 states to send dance cum cultural teams to participate in the Srivari Brahmotsavams 2019, says Dr Ramana Prasad, the Secretary of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad of TTD.

Briefing media at the Media Center Dr Prasad said the objective was to promote and project pan India cultural unity through showcasing cultural formats of all regions at the Srivari Brahmotsavams. Under the instructions of TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal,  letters were written to Cultural Secretaries of different states. The Cultural Department of Government of India has taken initiative and sent teams from different states.

He said about 677 artists in 39 teams from 18 states will present their arts st various platforms Tamil Nadu with 110 artists is the biggest team, followed by Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. They included dancers, drum beaters, vocal and instrumental musicians.

He introduced team leaders of Manipur, Himachal Pradesh,  Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat,  Rajasthan,  Chattisgarh and the artists who said they were happy to perform in the abode of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and foresee to continue the same in future too.
