Alluri was Nightmare to British Rules - Prof G Balasubramanyam






TTD organised the 128th birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Alluri Sitarama Raju at Annamacharya Kalamandiram, Tirupati on Friday. 


Speaking on the occasion, Prof. G. Balasubramanyam from Telugu Department, S.K. University, Anantapur, hailed Alluri as a valiant freedom fighter who fought against British exploitation in the tribal regions. 

He emphasized that Alluri sacrificed his life for the downtrodden and that his family leading a humble life without seeking any benefits from his legacy.

TTD Estate Officer Smt. G. Suvarna said Alluri led the armed struggle for tribal rights till his last breath and inspired today's youth to face challenges bravely.

Floral tributes were paid to Alluri's portrait. 

Special pujas were performed to the statue of Sri Annamacharya, and the lamp was lit to mark the occasion. 

SPW Degree College Telugu HoD Dr Krishnaveni acted as Anchor.
