TTD is making elaborate arrangements to celebrate Gokulashtami in the local temples on Saturday, August 16.
Tiruchanur:
At Sri Krishna Swamy Temple attached to Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, on the occasion of Gokulashtami, Abhishekam will be performed to the processional deity of Sri Krishna Swamy in the morning, followed by Snapana Tirumanjanam in the afternoon.
Later, at 7:00 PM, the Utsava deity will be taken in a grand procession on the Pedda Sesha Vahanam along the four Mada streets, blessing the devotees.
This will be followed by Gopuja and Gokulashtami Asthanam.
On August 17, in connection with Utlotsavam, Snapana Tirumanjanam and Unjal Seva will be performed, followed by Utlotsavam and Asthanam in the evening.
Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple:
Abhishekam will be performed to Sri Krishna Swamy, along with Purana Pathanam and Asthanam.
Narayanavanam:
At Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, the day will begin with Suprabhatham, Tomala Seva, Panchanga Sravanam, and purification rituals.
At 5:30 PM, Gokulashtami Asthanam and Nivedana will be performed to Sri Krishna Swamy.
On August 17, the day will begin with Suprabhatham, Tomala Seva, Panchanga Sravanam, followed by the street procession (Veedhi Utsavam) of Sri Krishna Swamy Utsava deity, and in the evening, Gopuja and Utlotsavam will be held.
Karvetinagaram:
At Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple, the day will start with Suprabhatham, followed by special Abhishekam and Snapana Tirumanjanam.
In the evening, Asthanam and Nivedana will be held.
On August 17, in connection with Utlotsavam, the day will start with Suprabhatham, Tomala Seva, Koluvu, and Panchanga Sravanam, followed by offerings to the deities in the afternoon.
In the evening, Gopuja, Utlotsavam, and in night Veedhi Utsavam will be conducted.
On these two days, under the aegis of the TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Annamacharya Projects, Harikathas, Bhajans, and devotional music programmes will be organised.
