Several special religious events will be observed in the sacred Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati, during the month of September. The details are as follows:
On September 2 – Ankurarpanam for the annual Pavitrotsavams.
From September 3 to 5 – Pavitrotsavams
On September 7 – In view of the Lunar Eclipse, the temple will remain close from 3:30 PM onwards.
On September 12, 19, and 29 (Fridays) – In the evening at 6PM, Sri Andal Ammavaru will be taken in a grand procession along the four mada streets.
On September 14 (Rohini Nakshatram) – At 6 PM, Sri Parthasarathi Swamy along with His consorts Rukmini and Satyabhama will bless devotees through a procession in the mada streets.
On September 22 (Uttara Nakshatram) – At 6PM, Sri Govindarajaswamy along with His two Consorts will give darshan to the devotees.
