Terming that Annaprasadam activity by TTD has been receiving humongous response from the devotees across the world for its quality and taste, which has impacted on the incredible increase on its corpus funds in 2024-25 till now, asserted TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.
The EO had inspected MTVAC on Thursday evening. As a part of the inspection he interacted with the devotees and enquired them about darshan timings, token system, facilities in queue lines, taste of Annaprasadam, serving of Annaprasadam at several points in Tirumala and many more.
He also checked the taste of all delicacies in the kitchen, store room, cashewnut boxes and made a few suggestions to the officers concerned. He also interacted with the canteen workers, Srivari Sevaks.
Later speaking to media persons he said Annadanam was commenced in the year 1985 and became Annaprasadam Trust in 1994. Up to 2020, TTD used to give some grant to run Annaprasadam activity until it became self reliant. Every year the donations are increasing along with the corpus as well as its interests. The corpus in 2023-24 stood at 1854cr while in 2024-25-2127cr and in 2025 till August 2263.
The interests also increased from 221cr in 2024 to 270cr in 2025 and met its 150cr annual expenditure sufficiently. Even the 1cr donations have also increased.
In 2023-24 one crore donors were 14 while in 24-25 it was 25 and in the last five months this year 14 members have donated over one crore to the trust.
The devotees are coming forward with largesse for Annaprasadam Trust with a lot of credibility on TTD services to devotees since the last four decades.
''We are now focussed on annual brahmotsavams. And the devotee Feedback through e-mails, Dial your EO, WhatsApp, Survey, IVRS plays an important role in improving the system wherever needed with the support of TTD board and employees, he maintained.
