Pariveta Utsavam Celebrated in A Grand Manner at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple

Parveta Utsavam was celebrated grandly on Saturday at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati. As per tradition, the Parveta Utsavam is observed every year on the day following the Kanuma festival of Sankranti.

On this occasion, at 3.30 pm, the Utsava Murthis of Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, and Sri Andal Ammavaru were taken in a ceremonial procession from the temple to the Parveta Mandapam located on Renigunta Road. 

Asthanam was conducted at the Parveta Mandapam. A large number of devotees gathered there to witness the Parveta Utsavam. Later, the Utsava Murthis were taken back in a procession through the city streets and reached the temple at 6.00 pm.

Temple Deputy Executive Officer Smt. Shanthi, Assistant Executive Officer Sri Narayana Choudary, Superintendent Sri Chiranjeevi, temple archakas and devotees participated in the programme.
