Balalayam rituals will be conducted in a traditional manner at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, located at Buragamanda village in Sadum mandal of Chittoor district, from February 23 to 26.
As part of the programme, Acharya Ritvik Varanam will be held at 9 AM on February 23, followed by Ankurarpana, Shanti Homam and other religious rituals in the evening.
Balalayam is usually performed during renovation works of the sanctum sanctorum. A temporary shrine will be set up in the temple premises and the images of the presiding deities will be installed there.
On February 24 and 25, various Vedic rituals including homams, Vastu puja, Balalayam Sthapana and Maha Shanti Abhishekam will be performed.
On February 26 morning, Yagashala rituals, Purnahuti, Kumbha Pradakshina, Balalayam Samprokshana and Dhruva Kalyanam will be held.
