As part of the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kapileswara Swamy, devotional cultural programmes presented by the faculty and students of Sri Venkateswara Music and Dance College captivated devotees on Saturday at the cultural stage arranged in the temple premises at Kapilateertham.
During the evening session, a flute concert was held up to 5:30 PM by the troupe of Sri Chennayya. They rendered popular devotional compositions such as “Sri Vighnarajam Bhaje…”, “Sambashivayanave…”, “Shobillu…”, “Mayateeta Swaroopini…”, and “Aigiri Nandini…”, enthralling the devotees.
Later, from 6:30 PM onwards, a vocal concert was presented by the troupe of Smt. G. Chinnamma Devi. They performed kritis including “Sri Maha Ganapathe…”, “Parameswara Jagadeeswara…”, “Parvati Ninune Nera Nammiti…”, and “Purahara Nandana…”, which received an appreciative response from the audience.
Subsequently, from 7:30 PM, the alumni troupe led by Sri Balaji presented a classical dance performance, which impressed the devotees and added grandeur to the celebrations.
