In view of the annual Brahmotsavams scheduled to be held from February 8 to 16, the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam was performed with grandeur on Thursday at the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Srinivasamangapuram. On this occasion, the Lord was awakened in the early hours with Suprabhatam, followed by Tomala Seva, Koluvu, and Panchanga Sravanam. The Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam was conducted from 6.30 am to 11.00 am. As part of the ritual, the temple premises, walls, ceilings, puja articles, and all other items were first cleansed with water. Thereafter, a sacred mixture prepared with fragrant substances such as Namam powder, Srichurnam, kasturi turmeric, pachaku, edible camphor, sandalwood powder, kumkum, kicherigadda, and other aromatic ingredients was sprinkled throughout the temple. Devotees were allowed for darshan from 11.00 am onwards.
