Sri Kodandarama's Blessings on Hamsa Vahanam

As part of the ongoing Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati, on the second day, Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., Lord Rama granted blessings to devotees while mounted on the Hamsa Vahanam (Swan vehicle).

With elephants leading the procession, groups of devotees sang devotional hymns, performed chekka bhajans and kolatam dances, while the divine service of the Lord’s vahanam took place amidst the resonant sounds of traditional instruments. Devotees offered camphor harati at every step and had darshan of the Lord.

The deeper meaning of the Hamsa Vahanam is that true spiritual wisdom arises through divine grace. The swan has the ability to separate milk from water. Similarly, the Lord, in the form of Paramahamsa, rides the Hamsa Vahanam to remove ego from devotees and instill the feeling of “Dasoham” (I am Your servant).

Tirumala Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Temple Deputy EO Smt. Nagaratna, AEO Sri Ravi, Temple Inspector Suresh, and a large number of devotees.
