Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav at Rajamahendravaram makes audience nostalgic of the good old era of rich art and culture!

Rajamahendravaram, March 26, 2022: Chief Guest Sri Biswabhusan Harichandan, Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh; inaugurated the two-day National Cultural Festival of India, Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2022, hosted by the, Government of India; today at Arts College Grounds, Rajamahendravaram. The Mahotsav hosted on March 26th and 27th was graced by Guests of Honor Shri G. Kishan Reddy; Hon’ble Union Minister of Tourism, Culture & Development of North Eastern Region of India, Government of India; Sri M. Srinivasa Rao, Hon'ble Minister of Tourism and Culture, AP; Sri Chelluboyina Srinivasa Venugopalakrishna, Hon'ble Minister for B.C. Welfare, AP; Sri Margani Bharat, Hon’ble MP, Rajamahendravaram; Sri M. Mohan BabuCine Actor and Former MP; Smt. Jayaprada, Cine Actress and Former MP and Smt. Adi Reddy Bhavani, Hon’ble MLA, Rajamahendravaram City.

HE Sri Biswabhusan Harichandan, speaking on the occasion said, as you all are aware Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsavhosted by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. There are several Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsavs being hosted across the country and this is one of them. We need to rekindle the spirit of freedom struggle and for that the Prime Minister has installed the hologram statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and a huge statue will be installed in India Gate. You must be remembering that during the freedom struggle, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had said Dilli Chalo. In one of my articles I said Netaji has reached India Gate, which means he reached Dilli. He is the Prime Minister who paid a tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Netaji asked the people of the country during the freedom fight, ‘give me blood I will give freedom’, there was turmoil all over the country from Himalaya to Kanya Kumari, people came on to the streets and Netaji started attacking the Britishers from outside the country. Netaji had highest respect for Mahatma Gandhiji, but he felt through non-voilent methods we can’t drive away the Britishers, and that’s the only difference. He went to Chicago from there to Japan, Germany and formed a provisional government of free India in exile, which was recognized by nine countries including Germany, Japan and others. In the 1942 Quit India Movement, Gandhiji asked the people to come to the streets and ask Britishers to quit India, many people thought it was not possible to ask such a great power to quit India, but when lakhs of people joined Mahatma Gandhi and asked the Britishers to quit India, tremors were felt in the country. Contributions of Sabarmati Ashram, Farmers agitation gave a great push to the freedom struggle. Through Sepoy mutiny and Paika Bidrohawe fought the Britishers, our sepoys who raised the guns against the Britishers in 1857 are being honoured. I am extremely joyed today seeing this huge congregation and especially with the coming together of artists of art, crafts and culture. Happy that we are celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with honour and joy and also proud of the fact that our forefathers fought against the Britishers. India is the greatest democracy of the world now and going ahead. It has become another superpower and we being the citizens of this country we are all proud and should be prepared to make lots of sacrifices for this country.

The Mahotsav had an auspicious beginning with a discourse on Bhagvad Gita by Sri Gangadhar Sastry, on the first day. Later a classical Odissi dance performance by Aloka Kanungo enthralled the audience and popular singers Sri S.P. Charan and Smt. U. Sunita, regaled the gathering with some eternal melodies from the legends of Indian Cinema, Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, Sri Ghantasala, Sri S.P. Balasubramanyam and Sri Sirivennela Sitaram Sastry.

The second day’s event was graced by Chief Guest and Hon’ble Minister of State for Culture & External Affairs, Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi. The day had Taal Vadya kacheri, a musical treat by P. Jaya Bhaskar followed by a musical tribute paid to the legends of Indian Cinema Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, Sri Ghantasala, Sri S.P. Balasubramanyam; Sri Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry by popular singers Smt. S.P. Shailaja and Sri Vandemataram Srinivas.

On both the days, over 540 Zonal folk artists and 280 folk artists from Andhra Pradesh, presented colorful cultural extravaganza of choreographed folk performances, making the Mahotsav cherishable for a lifetime. Spellbinding performances by drummers from all Zonal Cultural Centers on day one and choreographed folk martial arts by artists drawn from all parts of India on the second day, were the hallmark of the event.

Kanth'risa unravels the enigma that Ram Gopal Varma is, through his book, RGV The Blue Book!

RGV The Blue Book, hand-written by Kanth'risa, is a unique philosophical dissertation on the often-controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. His esoteric persona, life philosophy, insights, and understandings, make the book an interesting read. It’s one of the rare handwritten books in this age of modern printing, reminiscing the charm of handwritten manuscripts of the bygone era. It is also the first handwritten, hand drawn manuscript, printed in a book form with several free-flowing illustrations, compositions, and artworks.

There are great many books on philosophy by enlightened thinkers and authors like Frederick Nische, Jean Paul Sartre, Any Rand, Ramana Maharshi, Osho, Krishnamurthy, but this ranks over all of them purely for being written on someone who is contemporary. Here is someone, who is making a mark by taking the immensely complex world head on, while not compromising on his integrity. Varma is unperturbed by the trail of controversy his comments leave behind and is as ever brimming with humor, sensitivity, and creativity.

In the book the author delved deeply into the complex traits Varma is known for including his actions, words, insights, behavior, gestures, analytical skills, logic, reasoning, sarcasm, and more, spanning over six months, to script this book. During this period, he discovers Varma to be a philosopher, a man enlightened in disguise and a mad man in general.

Commenting on the book Ram Gopal Varma said, there is no semblance between me and Buddha, I went after wine and women and Buddha went after God. I revere the one who created the woman and will only bow to him.

Speaking at the launch Ram Gopal Varma said, I don’t take anybody serious including myself. When Kanth’risa told me he wrote a book by name Blue Book, I told him I knew blue film and didn’t have a clue about blue book, then he gave me a theory saying the philosophy colour is blue. But even if I don’t understand, if the other person strongly believes in something, I respect him. I was not in sync with associating me with Buddha, desire is the root cause for sorrow, is a failed philosophy. If your desire doesn’t get fulfilled you will regret, so to not to regret you shouldn’t have desires is the philosophy, there can’t be a worse philosophy then that. The whole point of life is desire. We are born with a blank mind, but the influences around us, some of which we assimilate and others we don’t, all that leads to a uniquely different personality. This is a book of quotations, it’s a new experiment with quotes and sketches, that’s the beauty of this book and difference between a regular book and this. For me success is doing what you like, because you don’t know what will happen tomorrow, I believe in living my life in this moment. Majority of the time we spend our time in school and college which is waste of time and it is more relevant in these time.

Kanth'risa said, Varma is one of the interesting persons I have come across and tried explore more about him.

Tanikella Bharani said, this book is written by an enlightened person on another enlightened soul.

The book is also unique for being world’s maiden book to be scripted on iPad. The author used a powerful and intuitive digital illustration App, ‘Procreate’. Kanth'risa leveraged his refined tech skills to script the book despite the App being more of an art studio and in normal course incompatible to compose a book. A copy of this book will be shared with Apple Inc., to apprise them of iPad’s unexplored utility.

IVF Lab Inaugurated at Vet Varsity By TTD Chairman

TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) laboratory in SV Veterinary University at Tirupati.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman said, TTD has allotted Rs.3.80crore towards setting up this lab. The aim behind this is to increase the milk produced from the indigenous cows and enhance the preparation of prasadams in Govinduniki Goadharita Naivedyam - the prestigious program commenced by TTD last May. Every day TTD required 3000 liters of milk. At present we are receiving only 500 liters of milk. To meet our requirements we need to improve the milk produced from the desi cows. "Through this embryo technology, we can improve the milk produced in desi breeds. This will help to increase the milk production per cow from the present 5-6litres to 10 liters. This would help TTD to continue the Goadharita Naivedyam programme forever", he added.

EO Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, Veterinary University VC Sri Padmanabha Reddy, SVIMS Director Dr. Vengamma, and others were present. Earlier they visited the lab and were briefed on its mode of functioning.
