Indian documentary “Oscar Challagariga” about Oscar winner lyricist Subhash Chandrabose wins Best Documentary Short at Cannes World Film Festival, France



A Telugu documentary titled “Oscar Challagariga” on Oscar winner lyricist Kanukuntla Subhash Chandrabose has been declared winner in the Cannes World Film Festival, France. The results in various categories were announced on December 27. “Oscar Challagariga” was adjudged Best Documentary Short.

The documentary from India, emerged winner from among the nominees, including two from the United States.

“I am elated to know that the documentary “Oscar Challagariga” about me winning an Oscar and how my village Challagariga celebrated has received applause and attention,” lyricist Chandrabose said, reacting to the announcement of the award.

“Oscar Challagariga” is produced and directed by Chilkuri Sushil Rao, documentary filmmaker from Hyderabad, Telangana. The documentary captures the celebrations in Challagariga village in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district from where lyricist Kanukuntla Subhash Chandrabose hails from.

Lyricist Chandrabose won the Oscar award for the Best Original Song in the Oscar awards presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood, Los Angeles, US on March 12, 2023 this year. Chandrabose and music director M M Keeravani were presented with the award for the song ‘Naatu Naatu” from the film ‘RRR’ directed by S S Rajamouli.

When Chandrabose went to his village on April 2, 2023 with the Oscar award, the entire village erupted in joy. Family, friends, relatives and well-wishers danced in the celebrations. Chandrabose recalled his journey from the village to the Oscar stage. 

“It is a matter of great joy that “Oscar Challagariga” has won the Best Documentary Short in the Cannes World Film Festival. The fact that a celebration in a small village in India has garnered attention in the world is a wonderful thing. The award is a tribute not just to Chandrabose but his village Challagariga,” Chilkuri Sushil Rao said.

Governor Participates in PM Modi's Virtual Address for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Secunderabad













Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad, December 27, 2023: Today, Hon'ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan Participates in Virtual address of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi Ji with Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (Urban) participants at the municipal ground, Lalapet, Secunderabad.

The event also featured the solemn administration of a pledge for the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, followed by inspiring testimonies from successful beneficiaries, who shared their personal experiences of transformation under various government programs under the theme 'Meri Kahaani Meri Zabaani' (My Story, My Voice).

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a nationwide campaign aimed at achieving widespread and successful implementation of the government's flagship schemes.

CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Batti Vikramarka Appeals to PM












Chief Minister Shri A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister  Shri Bhatti Vikramarka requested Prime Minister  Shri Narendra Modi to grant  national status to the Palamuru Rangareddy  lift irrigation project. The CM and Deputy CM told the PM that the Reorganization act mentioned national  project status will be given to one each project in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.  Polavaram project has been given national project status in Andhra Pradesh. They requested PM Modi to grant national project status to Palamuru lift scheme as well.       

 

After the formation of the new government in Telangana, the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister  paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in Delhi today ( Tuesday ).  On this occasion, CM Revanth and  Deputy CM Bhatti brought many problems related to the state to the attention of the Prime Minister. As per the Reorganization act,  the Center has released Rs.2250 crores at the rate of Rs.450 crores every year from 2015 to 2021. They requested the PM to release Rs 1800 crore   pending grants for the years 2019-20, 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2023- 2024 financial years. They also appealed to the PM to release the pending 15th Finance Commission funds of Rs.2233.54 crore (Rs.129.69 crores for 2022-23 and Rs.1608.85 crores for 2023-24)  immediately.

* Other Issues  brought to the notice of Prime Minister : 


* Already sent  proposals to upgrade 14 national highways  in Telangana . Only two of them are approved.  Requested to  approve the up-gradation of  remaining 12  national highways

 

The Center  approved the establishment of a Tribal University in Mulugu. Admissions should be allowed in the academic year 2023-24.

 

* As per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization act, the Centre made the promise of the  establishment of a Steel Plant (Bayyaram Steel Plant) in the erstwhile Khammam district.  Requested the PM for the clearance of the project immediately. Indian Railways  announced  a coach factory  in  Kazipet , but the centre declared the establishment of  a periodic overhauling workshop.  The CM and Deputy CM urged Modi to fulfill the promise of construction of a Coach factory.

 

* The Union  Government announced ITIR for Bangalore and Hyderabad in 2010. The Hyderabad ITIR project was put in cold storage after the change of government at the center in 2014.  The PM is requested to take up Hyderabad ITIR immediately..

 

* Announce Kakatiya Mega Textile Park as a Green field project and release enough funds. Among the seven mega textile parks identified under PM Mitra, the Kakatiya textile park in Warangal has been declared as a brown field park which did not deserve adequate funds. 

 

* Centre proposed to set up an IIM in every state. As there is no IIM in Telangana, The union government should establish one IIM in Hyderabad. Suitable space is already available. The state government is ready to provide necessary space for setting up an IIM if the center wants .

 

* Two Sainik  schools were sanctioned to Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation of the state. One sainik school   should be established in Secunderabad Cantonment.

 

* Requested to shift head office in Pune to Secunderabad cantonment as there is not a single head office of Indian Army in Southern states .    

 

 * Resolve  the pending division of government establishments under schedule nine and the issues of other organizations under 10 th schedule as per the AP Reorganization act.

Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan Participates in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra

Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad, December 21, 2023: The Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, today participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Mirkhanpet Village, Kandukur Mandal, Rangareddy District. This nationwide initiative was flagged off by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Expressing deep gratitude for the Prime Minister's visionary leadership and commitment to public welfare, Governor Dr.Tamilisai highlighted various welfare schemes initiated by the Union government under Modi Ji's leadership. She emphasized the importance of ensuring that these schemes, referred to as "Modi's guarantee vehicle," reach every corner of the country.

The event featured a range of informative and engaging activities. These included raising awareness about 17 Union government schemes, including 7 bank schemes and other welfare initiatives. Additionally, demonstrations showcased practical applications like using drone cameras in agriculture, setting up bank camps, and organizing health camps.

The event also featured the solemn administration of the Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat pledge at Mirkhanpet Village, followed by inspiring testimonies from successful beneficiaries. These beneficiaries shared their personal experiences of transformation under various government programs through the "Meri Kahaani Meri Zabaani" (My Story, My Voice) initiative.

In Telangana, the Yatra will focus on ensuring that all targeted beneficiaries receive the benefits of these schemes within a specified timeframe, thereby contributing to the realization of a developed India.

It was a ‘Celebration of Learning’ at Manthan’s Annual School Day Event!








Manthan International School
, part of the International School Partnership (ISP) group, a global family of 77 schools across 21 countries, hosted the Annual Day, Pratibimb for Junior KG to Grade 3 students and Rangmanthan for Grades 4 to 12, today, at Manthan International School, Tellapur. The event was attended by over 5000 people including families of the learners and the entire Manthan team.

 

The Pratibimb events were created as reflections of learning that happened in class throughout the year. The Rangmanthan events incorporated all club activities that the students are part of and showcased their skills in music, dance, theatre, sports and the arts.

 

The shows had attractive formats such as “Tamasha”, which included the depiction of indigenous Indian games while describing the various stages of life. The story of a teenager was showcased using theatre within a theatre with props that were created on the spot through live painting. A musical skit, ‘Entertainment through the Ages,’ looked at how entertaining and being entertained has changed from the time of gramophones to that of mobile gadgets.

 

Capturing the rich tapestry of the country’s history, the show 'Golden Ages of India' took the audience through the magnificent journey of glory and valour through performances in drama, dance and music. "Confluence" was the Grand Finale event that celebrated a multicultural extravaganza of global sounds and rhythms presented by Music Club students.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Surjeet Singh, Principal, of Manthan International School said, "I give a huge shout-out to all students and teachers who gave their very best in this four-day-long event, where the school presented eight shows and all 1850 students participated. Allari Naresh as Anji in Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga Movie





Nagarjuna Akkineni is coming up with a mass and action entertainer Naa Saami Ranga that will have a good dose of romance, family drama, and emotions. The movie directed by first-timer Vijay Binny also has space for friendship. That layer from the movie is unveiled through a glimpse.


Allari Naresh played a key role and the character is introduced through a glimpse. It is not just meant to introduce the character, but also to showcase the friendship of Nagarjuna with Allari Naresh. Judging by the glimpse, Naresh is a happy-go-lucky guy who shares a cordial relationship with Nagarjuna. He regularly uses the phrase- Matochethadi, which signifies his character as a man of his word.

It’s no less than an eye feast to see Nagarjuna and Allari Naresh together. The presence of Allari Naresh is a great value addition to the movie. Shivendra Dasaradhi showed the village atmosphere stunningly, while MM Keeravani beautified the visuals with his captivating score. The makers through the glimpse announced to unveil the film’s teaser soon.

Ashika Rangananth played the leading lady and the pairing with Nagarjuna looked fresh. The first single- Etthukelli on the lead pair received a tremendous response.

Passionate producer Srinivasa Chitturi of Tollywood’s leading production house Srinivasaa Silver Screen is making the movie on a grand scale with a massive budget. Pavan Kumar presents the movie.

Chandra Bose penned the lyrics, while the blockbuster writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada provided the story and dialogues for the film.

Naa Saami Ranga will have its theatrical release for Sankranti, in 2024.
