Shifting of Accomodation Allotment to Tirupati

 The TTD Trust Board led by its Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Saturday has resolved to take some decisions keeping in view the increased pilgrim influx to Tirumala post Covid and also the limitations in the accommodation in the Hill town for the sake of multitude of common pilgrims who are visiting Tirumala.


After the Trust Board meeting, briefing the media persons, TTD Chairman said, however, all these Pilgrim-friendly decisions will be implemented after the Puratasi month in a phased manner on Trial-basis. Some excerpts from the meeting:


Board has taken a decision to change the timings in VIP darshan to 10am instead of the existing early hours, to enable Srivari darshan to common pilgrims who will be waiting for hours together in compartments and queue lines.


As the available accommodation in Tirumala will suffice the needs of only a limited number of pilgrims, to avoid the accommodation woes of pilgrims the board has decided to shift the accommodation allotment system to Tirupati. "If the accommodation allotment gets exhausted in Tirumala, we request the pilgrims to book accommodation in Tirupati instead of waiting for long hours in Tirumala", he added. 


With respect to Slotted Sarva Darshanam(SSD) tokens, the Chairman said, issuance of SSD tokens will be re-introduced with a limited number after Puratasi month, while the Sarva Darshan (without tokens) will be operated simultaneously. 




A white paper on TTD properties will be placed on the website for the third consecutive year. A total of 960 properties to the tune of 7123acres worth around Rs.85,705crores.


The District Collector has allotted 300acres towards employees house sites for which we have already paid Rs.60 crores. Apart from this, after the formation of the new Tirupati district, another 132 acres of land has also been provided to TTD for employees' related development activities in future to which we shall have to pay Rs.25 crores.


Construction of PAC 5 in Tirumala at a cost Rs.98 crores was approved in the area behind Govardhan Choultries that could facilitate accommodation to more common pilgrims.


The Board gives nod to construct a four-lane road at Rs.30 crores from Vakulamatha Temple to Pudipatla near Zoo Park 


To set up additional load transformers in Tirumala to meet the geyser and other electrical improvisations carried in the rest houses, the board sanctioned Rs.7.20 crores


Development of SGS Arts College at Rs.6.37crores


Development of TTD Kalyana Mandapam in Nellore at Rs.3crores 


For refurbishing furniture and other requirements in Nandakam Rest House, Rs.2.45crores approved




As the annual festival is taking place after a gap of two years of Covid pandemic, in view of heavy pilgrim rush being anticipated, German Sheds will be laid at different places to accommodate the stranded devotees and also protect them from inclement weather conditions

TTD Eo Reviews On Department Wise Brahmotsavam Arrangements

With only a couple of days left for annual Srivari Brahmotsavams, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy reviewed the department-wise arrangements for the big festival.


The review meeting was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Saturday. JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam and CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore were also present.


Speaking on the occasion, the EO said that every employee has to feel the onus, since the mega festival is taking place amidst pilgrim public after two years. "As more pilgrims are being anticipated, every employee should discharge his or her responsibility with more dedication especially on the most challenging day of Garuda Seva on October 1", he maintained.


CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, SE 2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy and Deputy EOs, heads of other departments, and other senior officials of TTD were also present.




Later, the EO also inspected the newly constructed Parakamani Building adjacent to Annaprasadam Complex which is set ready to be inaugurated by the Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy on September 28.


12th Edition of Balakanda Paryanam Held

The 12th Edition of Balakanda Akhanda Parayanam was held in Nadaneerajanam at Tirumala on Saturday between 7am and 9am which was telecasted live on SVBC for the sake of global devotees.


A total of 129 shlokas from 56-60 chapters were recited by Vedic pundits, scholars, students of veda vignana peetham, and devotees.


TTD to Host Srinivasa Kalyanam Fete at UK, Europe from October 15th to November 13th

As part of its agenda for Sanatana Hindu Dharma Pracharam,TTD plans to conduct Srinivasa  Kalyanam fete in UK and Europe countries from October 15-November 13.


Releasing the posters of the overseas fete on Friday night at Annamaiah Bhavan, TTD Chairman said the celebrations were scheduled on directions of Honourable CM of AP to bring Hindus across world closer to Sri Venkateswara.


Following the directions TTD has conducted Srivari Kalyanams and Vaibhavotsavam at several locations in country and also in US.


He said in June and July this year in coordination with Telugu associations and APNRTS, in US Srinivasa Kalyanam were conducted in Nine cities of USA. Similarly in coordination with Telugu  associations in UK and Europe, the celestial events will be performed there.


As per schedule Basing Stoke (UK) on October 15,  Manchester on October 16, Belfast in Northern Ireland on October 22, Dublin on October 23.


Similarly on October 29 at Zurich, Switzerland, Eu, on October 30 at Amsterdam in Netherlands, November 5 at Frankfurt in Germany, at Paris in France on November 6, at London on November 12, at Edinburg in Scotland of UK on November 13.


TTD board members Sri Rambhupal Reddy, Sri Nanda Kumar, APNRTS president Sri.MedaPati Venkat, UK Telugu Association President Sri Killi Satya Prasad were present.


TTD Chairman Inspects Annaprasada Bhawan


TD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Friday inspected the Annaprasadam activities in Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex(MTVAC) in Tirumala. 


He interacted with devotees on the quality, quantity, taste and hygiene of Annaprasadam that is being served. The devotees thanked TTD for providing tasty food in a hygienic manner with different delicious items as Annaprasadam.


The Chairman also enquired whether anyone is demanding them for money in Kalyanakatta, Darshanam and Accommodation areas. Later he directed officials to ensure that the devotees are not put to any sort of inconvenience. He also interacted with the Srivari Sevaks about their accommodation and other facilities being provided in Srivari Seva Sadan. The Chairman dined with the devotees. 


Annaprasadam DyEO Sri Selvam, Special Officer of Catering Sri GLN Shastri, AVSO Sri Sai Giridhar were also present.

Enhance Sculpting Skills

TTD DLO Sri Reddeppa Reddy called upon the students of Shilpakala to enhance their sculpting skills.


He was taking part during the valedictory session of the three day work shop held in SVITSA in Tirupati on Friday.


Speaking on the occasion, the DLO said the work-shops of this sorts will encourage and boost the learning the learning skills among the sculpture students.


On the last days stalwarts including Dr Kirankrant Choudary, Dr Velu, Sri Selvam and Sri IV Krishna Rao delivered lectures on History of Indian Idols and sculptures, Significance of Prasadams in temples,  cement statues, and Jeernodharana of temples respectively and enlightened the students.


DEO Sri Govindarajan, SVETA Director Smt Prasanti, Principal Sri Venkat Reddy, faculty, students were also present.
