Metlotsavam Held

The Bhajanaparas should follow the footsteps of the great saints, acharya purushas and emperors who did the Sanatana Dharma Prachara by chanting the divine names and take forward the Venkateswara Vaibhava across the globe said, Puttige Mutt Seer Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji. 


Taking part in the Traimasika Metlotsavam at Alipiri Padala Mandapam on the wee hours of Tuesday, the Pontiff along with Dasa Sahitya Project Special Officer Sri Ananda Theerthacharyulu performed Metla Puja. In his Anugraha Bhashanam on the occasion he said, Sri Vyasaraja Theertha, Sri Annamacharya, Sri Krishna Devaraya and many more Bhaktas reached Tirumala trekking Aliipiri and chanting the divine names and attained salvation. 


Over 3500 Dasaparas from AP, TS, TN, Karnataka took part in this programme and started trekking to Tirumala singing Dasa Sankeertans.



Review Meeting Held on Vedic Academics by TTD Eo

 TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Monday held a detailed review meeting on academic and administrative issues related to Vedic Studies in Tirupati.

The meeting was held in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University along with the Vice-Chancellor of SVVU Sri Rani Sadasiva Murty and JEO (H & E) Smt Sada Bhargavi. 

Speaking on this occasion, the EO called on all the Vedic scholars of the University and Veda Pathashalas to work together in taking forward the vedic legacy and knowledge to future generations. "All the TTD vedapathashalas should be affiliated to SVVU to have a uniform academic syllabus and action plan. In the next level, all the vedic pathashalas in the state should be brought under SVVU and finally across the country including the private Veda pathashalas. This will provide a strong base to take forward our ancient knowledge", he added.

Earlier the VC of SVVU and Principals of all the TTD-run Veda pathashalas presented their issues related to their respective institutions through power point presentation over the requirement of teaching staff for some Vedic subjects in some schools, infrastructure facilities, manpower requirement etc.

The EO also directed to form an academic body and carryout monthly meetings to resolve the issues. He also asked the VC to inspect all the TTD Veda Pathashalas by allocating the work of each dean to each one of the institutions. 


Later the VC explained the EO over the proposed plan to improve the ambience in the varsity campus by developing greenery which includes Yagna Vriksha Vatika, Sila Vanam(with the sculptures of Sages), Dhanwantari Vanam with medicinal plants, Navagraha Vatika, Nakshatra Vanam and a lotus pond.

Varsity Registrar Sri Radheshyam, DEO Sri Bhaskar Reddy, DyEO Sri Govindarajan, Principals of all Veda Pathashalas of TTD, EE Sri Mallikharjuna prasad and others were also present.

Chief Pontiff of Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt, Melkote Offered Prayers to Lord Venkateswara

His Holiness SRI SRI SRI YADUGIRI YATHIRAJA NARAYANA RAMNUJA JEEYAR, Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt, Melkote offered in Sri Vari Temple, Tirumala on monday morning. On his arrival at infront of Sri Vari Temple, Temple DyEO Sri Ramesh Babu and Temple Priests welcomed him with Temple Honors and led him to Sanctum Santorium.


AEOs Sri Ravi, Sri Srinivas, Parpatheyadar Sri Thulasi Prasad and others were present.

Mass Chanting of Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama Parayanam on 1st Feb

The mass chanting of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam will be observed on the day of Bhishma Ekadasi on February 1 by TTD at the Nadaneerajanam Mandapam in Tirumala.

This spiritual event will take place between 6am and 9am and will be telecasted live on SVBC for the sake of global devotees.


Akhila Bharata Hindu Sadhu Sangham Extends Support to TTD Dharmic Activities

 The representatives of Akila Bharata Hindu Maha Sabha and Sadhu Sangham lauded the series of Dharmic and Spiritual programmes which are being observed by TTD for the propagation of Hindu Santana Dharma and univocally extended its support to TTD for its future programmes in taking forward Hindu Dharma.

TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy has formally met the Swamijis at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Sunday who participated in the Akhila Bharata Hindu Maha Sabha that was organised in Tirupati on Saturday. He explained them about the various dharmic and spiritual programmes being organised by TTD as a part of its mission of the propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma across the country.

The EO briefed them on Veda Parayanam, Homams, construction of temples in SC, ST, BC and fishermen colonies under the funds of SRIVANI (Sri Venkateswara Alaya Nirmana) Trust, Jeernodharana of ancient temples,  Srinivasa Kalyanams, Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, Go Samrakshana programmes including Go Adharita Naivedyam, Vyavasayam, Gudiko Gomata, Bhagavat Gita competitions, propagation of Annamacharya, Purandharadasa, Alwar works, taking forward all the spiritual programmes in a wide manner through SVBC Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi channels across the country, free medical services including heart operations to children aged between a few days to 15years, education and many more. "But some vested interests are trying to malign the image of TTD by spreading false and baseless reports on social media against us and throwing the pilgrim public in dilemma and confusion", he maintained.

The National Secretary of Akhila Bharata Hindu Maha Sabha Sri Kamalesh Acharya of Ayodhya and its Principal Secretary Sri Yogi Atidheshwarananda Parvata Swamiji of Sri Yogi Peetham said that there are nearly six crore members in their Sangham from all the 29 states across the country. "We are all committed to sustain the Hindu Sanatana Dharma in our country. We are impressed with the Dharmic programmes being carried out by TTD and ready to extend our support to all the TTD activities in respective places and also event give the correct information on the Social Media platforms with our wide range of network of devotees who are present across the country", they added.

TTD EO thanked them for their support. Later the Sadhus felicitated EO and offered him blessings.

Among the Sadhus, AP Chief Sri Ramayanam Mahesh Swamiji of Lalita Bharadwaja Datta Peetham, Telangana Chief Sri Sarveswarananda Ambika Sivacharya Swamiji and many others were present.

AEO Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad Sri Sriramulu, Superintendent Sri Kranti were also present.

Earlier, over 77 Sadhus including Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust Vice-President Sri Kamal Nain Das, Sri Mahendra Das, Sri Sharad Sharma were also present and appreciated various pilgrim initiatives taken by TTD in providing hassle-free darshan, accommodation and other amenities.

Shobha Yatra Held

The three-day Traimasika Metlotsavam of Dasa Sahitya Project commences with Shobha Yatra on Sunday.

This spiritual event commenced at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple by the Project Special Officer Sri Ananda Theerthacharyulu which reached III Chowltry.

Over 3000 bhajana members who hailed from both Telugu states, Karnataka and Tamilnadu participated in the event.
