Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam in Narayanavanam Temple




In connection with the annual Brahmotsavam, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be conducted at  Sri Padmavathi Sametha Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Narayanavanam on May 15 from 6.30 am to 1 pm.  

The annual Brahmotsavam will be held from May 21 to 29.  

It is customary to conduct Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam before the Brahmotsavams.

In this, the premises of the temple, walls, roof, puja utensils etc. are cleansed with water.  

After that, holy water mixed with spices such as namakopu, Srichurnam, musk turmeric, pachchaku,  camphor, sandalwood powder, saffron, kichiligadda etc. called Parimalam will be smeared throughout the temple.  

Later, the devotees are allowed for darshan from 1:30pm onwards.

294th Birth Anniversary of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba




The 294th birth anniversary celebrations of  Matrushri Tarigonda Vengamamba will be celebrated in Tirumala on May 22.  


Also observed at Vengamamba's birth place in Tarigonda besides Tirumala and Tirupati.

As part of it, Pushpanjali will be offered at Vengamamba Vrindavanam in Tirumala on May 22 at 4.30 pm.  

At 5.30 in the evening, Srivaru along with Ubhayanancharulu will take a procession through the streets to reach Sri Padmavathi Venkateswara Parinayotsava Mandapam in Narayangiri Gardens in, Tirumala.  

From 6 to 7 pm, artists of the Annamacharya project will conduct a Gosthiganam of Tarigonda Vengamamba Sankirtanas.  

Sri Sri Sri Swarupananda Swamiji of Visakha Sarada Peetham will deliver the Anugraha Bhashanam on the occasion.

Ramanujacharya Was A Great Philosopher





Sri Vaishnava Saint Sri Ramanujacharya was a great philosopher asserted by renowned scholar Prof Rajagopalan.


In his address during Ramauja Avatarotsavam held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on Sunday evening, he said Ramanujacharya with his philosophy preached equality of all and brought a social renaissance in those days with his ideologies.

Later, the Annamacharya Project artist Smt Rajyalakshmi presented Sankeertans.

Alwar Divya Prabandha Project co-ordinator Sri Purushottam and local devotees were also present.

Bhashyakara Utsavam Held at Srivari Temple








Sri Bhashyakara Sattumora was held in a grand manner at Tirumala Srivari Temple on Sunday.  


Bhashyakarla Sattumora is held every year in honour of the birth start of the great Sri Vaishnava Saint on the advent of Arudra Nakshatra in the month of Vaisakha.

On this occasion, in the morning, Sri Bhashyakara was taken out on a procession along the four Mada streets of the temple.  

After that, Abhishekam was performed in the shrine of Sri Bhashyakar in the footpath route.

After the Sahasra Deepalankara Seva in the evening, Sridevi Bhudevi along with Sri Malayappa Swami on one Tiruchi and Sri Bhashyakara on another Tiruchi were taken on a procession through the streets of the temple.  

After that they circumambulate around the vimana prakaram of the temple.  At night from 7.30 to 9.30 pm Sathumora will be performed in the  Bhashyakara Sannidhi.  

Tirumala Sri Sri Peddajeeraswamy, Sri Sri Chinnajeeraswamy and other officials participated in this program.

Bhashyakarla Utsavam Held in Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple








The Bhashyakara Utsavam was held in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple on Sunday evening.


As a part of this fete, Chinna Mada Veedhi Utsavam and Pedda Mada Veedhi Utsavam were observed.

HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala, DyEO Smt Shanti, AEO Sri Munikrishna Reddy, Temple Inspector Sri Dhananjaya and others were present.

Pushpa Yagam Held












The annual Pushpayagam was held in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Tirupati on Sunday evening.


In the morning Snapanam was held to the utsava deities while in the evening Pushpayagam commenced with three tonnes of eleven varieties of flowers donated by donors from Telugu States, TN and Karnataka.

DyEO Smt Nagaratna, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, AEO Sri Parthasaradhi, Superintendent Sri Soma Sekhar, devotees were present.
