In order to provide more convenient services to the devotees visiting Tirumala for the darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara, TTD Executive Officer Sri M. Ravichandra inspected the functioning of the luggage deposit counter set up at Alipiri on Thursday evening along with TTD CVSO Sri Muralikrishna.
The officials explained to the EO about the system through which the luggage deposited by devotees who trek Tirumala through Alipiri footpath, is safely transported to Tirumala. They informed that a receipt containing an automatically generated QR code is being issued to the devotees immediately after depositing their luggage.
Officials stated that on normal days nearly 6,000 bags and during special festival days up to 10,000 bags are safely transported to Tirumala.
Later, the EO examined the facilities at the luggage counter and gave several instructions to the officials to provide more convenient services to the devotees.
Alipiri AVSO Sri Ramesh Krishnan and other officials were also present.
Ankurarpanam for the Pushpayagam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram will be performed on March 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
It may be noted that the annual Brahmotsavams of the temple were held from February 8 to 16. Pushpayagam is performed as a ritual of atonement for any lapses that might have occurred knowingly or unknowingly by priests, officials or devotees during the Brahmotsavams. It is believed that the ritual removes all such doshas.
As part of the programme, Snapana Tirumanjanam to the utsava deities of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi will be performed on March 15 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with milk, curd, honey, turmeric, sandalwood and coconut water.
Later, Pushpayagam will be conducted from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., during which the deities will be worshipped with various flowers including tulasi, chrysanthemum, oleander, mogali, jasmine, jaaji, sampangi, rose and lotus.
From 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the processional deities will be taken on Tiruchi along the four Mada streets of the temple, blessing the devotees.
Tickets will be available at the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram from March 14. Couples (two persons) can participate in the Pushpayagam by purchasing a ticket priced at Rs.516/-.
In view of the Pushpayagam, TTD has cancelled the Nitya Kalyanotsavam seva on March 15.
