The Ashtabandhana Maha Samprokshanam of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Devuni Kadapa will be conducted as per Agama traditions from August 23 to 26, said TTD JEO Dr. A. Sharath. He inspected the arrangements at the temple on Wednesday.
The JEO directed officials to complete all arrangements on time, including engineering and electrical works. He also instructed them to decorate the temple with flowers and lighting and complete the brass sheet works on the Dhwajasthambham and Bali Peetham by August 21. He stressed that all necessary facilities should be provided to ensure a comfortable visit for devotees.
The JEO was traditionally welcomed by the priests and had darshan of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy after circumambulating the temple amid auspicious music.
Arrangements Reviewed at Vontimitta Temple
Later, Dr. Sharath visited Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple at Vontimitta and reviewed the queue lines, kitchen, Yagashala, prasadam distribution and other pilgrim facilities. He gave necessary instructions to the officials.
He also inspected the site proposed for the 100-room accommodation complex to be constructed by TTD and reviewed the ongoing development works near the Kalyana Vedika.
TTD CE Sri Manoharam, Deputy EO Smt. A. Prashanthi, EE Smt. Sumathi, Deputy EE Sri Nagaraju, Temple AEO Sri N. Ravi, Superintendent Sri Hanumanthaiah, Temple Inspectors Sri Eshwar Reddy and Sri Mohan Babu, priests and others participated.
