Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple, Tirupati, will host a series of special religious festivals and sevas during August.
The schedule is as follows:
Tirupati, July 31, 2026
August 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 (Fridays): Abhishekam to the presiding deities of Sri Sita, Rama and Lakshmana will be performed at 6.00 a.m. Devotees can participate by purchasing a ticket costing Rs.20. In the evening, Unjal Seva will be held at 5.00 p.m., followed by the Tiruchi Utsavam through the four Mada Streets of the temple at 5.30 p.m.
August 7: Ankurarpanam will be performed to mark the commencement of the annual Pavitrotsavams.
August 8 to 10: The annual Pavitrotsavams will be conducted with religious fervour.
August 11 (Punarvasu Nakshatram): Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam will be performed at 11.00 a.m. Devotees can participate by purchasing a Rs.500 ticket. At 5.30 p.m., the deities will be taken in a Tiruchi procession through the four Mada Streets to Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini, followed by Unjal Seva at 6.30 p.m.
August 12 (Amavasya): Sahasra Kalasabhishekam will be performed at 8.30 a.m. Couples can participate by purchasing a Rs.500 ticket. Hanumantha Vahana Seva will be held at 7.00 p.m.
August 28 (Pournami): Ashtottara Sata Kalasabhishekam will be performed at 9.30 a.m. Devotees can participate by purchasing a Rs.50 ticket. A Tiruchi Utsavam from the temple's four Mada Streets to Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini will be held at 5.30 p.m.
