TTD Continues to Support Preservation of Arts - Tirupati MLA

The 72nd National Drama Festival of Sri Venkateswara Natya Kalaparishat began grandly at Mahathi Kalakshetram in Tirupati on Monday.

Speaking as the chief guest, Tirupati MLA Sri Arani Srinivasulu said TTD has been consistently encouraging and preserving Indian arts and culture. He appreciated TTD for extending financial assistance of Rs. 25 lakh, which helped revive the drama festival after a gap of six years. He expressed hope that TTD would continue supporting artists and cultural activities.

AP Greening and Beautification Corporation Chairperson Smt. Sugunamma urged art lovers to participate in the 10-day festival in large numbers and suggested reviving regular mythological and social drama performances in Tirupati.

TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad Secretary Dr. Medasani Mohan said art and culture flourish in a society that values artists, while TTD Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. T. Ravi highlighted TTD's efforts in promoting music, drama and cultural heritage through various projects and institutions.

Several dignitaries, artists, cultural enthusiasts and members of the public attended the inaugural programme.
