₹1 Cr Donaton to TTD
A devotee from Bengaluru, Sri Giriyappa Dayananda, donated a total of Rs. One crore to TTD, contributing Rs. 50 lakh each to the TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Annaprasadam and the Sri Venkateswara Pranadanam Trusts.
The donor handed over the donation DDs to TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary at the latter's Camp Office in Tirumala.
Hon'ble CM Chandrababu Naidu Invited to Srivari Brahmotsavams
TTD has invited Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu to the Srivari Salakatla and Navaratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala.
TTD Board Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu, Board Members Sri Jyothula Nehru, Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi and Smt. Janakidevi, and TTD EO Sri Muddada Ravichandra met the Chief Minister at his residence in Amaravati and presented the invitation for the Brahmotsavams.
On the occasion, TTD Vedic scholars offered Veda Ashirvachanam to the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister discussed the arrangements for the Brahmotsavams, pilgrim amenities and security measures with the TTD Chairman and EO.
TTD Vedic scholars, archakas and officials participated in the programme.

quotas online for the month of December 2026 as scheduled below :
September 19 at 10 AM: Srivari Arjitha Sevas (Suprabhatham, Thomala, Archana, Ashtadala Pada Padmaradhana). e-Dip registration till Sep 21, 10 AM. Payment window: Sep 21–23, till 12 noon.
Sep 22, 10 AM: Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Sahasradeepalankara Seva tickets
3 PM: Virtual Seva and darshan slots.
Sep 23, 10 AM: Anga Pradakshina tokens.
11 AM: SRIVANI Trust darshan tickets.
3 PM: Senior citizens, differently abled, and chronically ill devotees.
Sep 24, 10 AM: Rs. 300 Special Entry Darshan
3 PM: Accommodation in Tirumala and Tirupati.

TTD to E-Auction of Clothes from 21st to 23rd September

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will conduct an e-auction of clothes offered by devotees to the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple and other TTD temples from September 21 to 23, 2026.
The auction includes 132 lots of new art-silk sarees.

Vinayaka Chawithi Celebrations at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Vari Temple on 14th September
Vinayaka Chavithi will be celebrated grandly at the Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, Tirupati, on September 14 with special religious programmes.
The celebrations will begin with Suprabhatam, followed by Abhishekam and Archana to the Sri Vinayaka Swamy Moolavirat. At 5.30 pm, a Gramotsavam of Sri Vinayaka Swamy on the Mooshika Vahanam will be conducted.
At Sri Vinayaka Swamy Temple on Second Ghat Road
At the Sri Vinayaka Swamy Temple on the Second Ghat Road, Abhishekam will be performed to the Moolavirat at 8 am, followed by Archana and special pujas.
DIVINE JOURNEY OF SACRED DARBHA MAT AND ROPE OBSERVED
The procession of Holy Darbha mat and rope used for hoisting the sacred Garuda flag onto the temple post took place in Tirumala on Saturday.
TTD JEO Dr Sharath along with TTD Deputy Conservator of Forest Sri Phanikumar Naidu brought the divine materials to Srivari temple and placed them at Ranganayakula Mandapam.
These holy materials prepared out of Darbha grass will be used during the Dhwajarohanam ceremony to be held on the September 15 between 6:21 pm and 6.35 pm in the auspicious Meena Lagnam.
A SNEAK PEEK INTO DIVINE JOURNEY OF DARBHA FROM FIELDS TO TEMPLE
Not just the humans sanctify their lives being a part in the nine day mega religious festival of annual Brahmotsavams in Tirumala, but even the grass strands, seeds, flora and fauna also offer their selfless services to the Universal Supremo.
The process of preparing these holy items from Darbha grass begins two weeks in advance.
Among the two types of the available Shiva Darbha and Vishnu Darbha, the second one is used in making rope and mats for Tirumala Brahmotsavams.
The TTD forest staff collects Vishnu Darbha from Chelluru village in Yerpedu mandal of Tirupati district and dried in low sunlight for a week, cleans thoroughly to prepare the sacred mat and rope.
The final products are remarkable in scale and precision.
Darbha Mat: 22 feet long, 7.5 feet wide, weighing around 200 kg while Darbha Rope: 250 metres long, weighing about 100 kg
Significance of Darbha grass
Scientifically named as Desmostachya bipinnata—the Darbha or Kusha has a significant role to play in Hindu religious traditions and is considered as a sacred plant.
The Rigveda describes Darbha as purifying material, while the Yajurveda states that sitting on Darbha gives the best results to the body. Scientifically, due to its high Silica content, Darbha purifies the atmosphere and eliminates micro-organisms. Therefore, the use of Darbha plays a prominent role in Vedic rituals.
