TTD BOARD MEETING HELD IN TIRUMALA








The TTD board meeting was held under the Chairmanship of TTD Trust Board Chief Sri BR Naidu along with TTD EO Sri  at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday.


Some excerpts

To constitute an expert committee to examine the feasibility of constructing VQC 3 in Tirumala in line with the increasing number of devotees visiting the temple day by day.

To study the possibilities of setting up rest centers (lounges) with all facilities in various areas in Tirumala for the convenience of devotees.

to improve infrastructure, lighting, security and spiritually  for the devotees on the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu walking paths.

to prepare a master plan and DPR for further development of the Shila Toranam and Chakra Theertham areas in Tirumala.

As per the orders of the Honourable Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, an expert committee has submitted a report for the construction of Srivari temples in various countries to spread the glory of Srivari worldwide. TTD has decided to form a sub-committee on this and take further quality enhancing activities as per the report of the said committee.

Approval to fill 4 coordinator posts on contract basis to further expand Srivari Seva and implement voluntary service to devotees more effectively.

Approval to set up a cyber security lab to prevent Srivari devotees from being exposed to cyber fraud.

Decision to prepare an action plan in consultation with experts to improve sanitation and security and provide better facilities for devotees at Kalyanakatta in Tirumala.

Nod for the construction of a new administration building to bring in all departments in Tirumala for the ease of administration. 

Similarly, it has been decided to remove the six blocks of the old HVDC in Tirumala, Balaji Rest House, Ampro Guest House, Annapurna Canteen and Kalyani Choultries as per the suggestions of IIT experts.

Decision to prepare an action plan with experts for various development programs in Tallapaka, the birthplace of Padakavita Pitamaha Annamacharya.

Decision to provide free mike sets worth Rs. 79.82 lakhs to 320  recently built temples under the auspices of Samarasatha Seva Foundation. The cost of each mic set is Rs. 25 thousand.

As part of the Vedic protection, approval has been given to grant TTD funds of Rs. 2.16 crore to unemployed Vedic reciters through the Endowment Department to pay unemployment allowance.

As per the instructions of the State Endowment Department, funds have been divided into three categories for paying funds to Srivari temples and Bhajan Mandirs built in SC, ST and backward areas under the auspices of SRIVANI Trust. 

The board has decided to pay Rs. 10 lakhs, Rs. 15 lakhs and Rs. 20 lakhs in the three categories. 

As per the AP High Court verdict, it has been decided to regularize 142 people working as contract drivers in TTD and send them to the state government for approval.

Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, several board members and JEO Sri Veerabraham participated in this meeting.
