Ankurarpanam was performed on Wednesday evening for the Pushpayagam to be held on April 23 at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati.
Pushpayagam is conducted as a ritual to atone for any lapses during the annual Brahmotsavams.
Devotees believe this ritual removes all doshas.
On April 23, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by Pushpayagam from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. In the evening, the deities will be taken in a procession along the Mada streets.
Devotees can participate by purchasing a ticket of Rs. 1,000 for two persons.
Temple officials and priests participated in the programme.
