Governor Participates in 37th Foundation Day Celebration of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram









The Hon'ble Governor of Telangana and Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan, participated as the chief guest in the state celebration of the 37th Foundation Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram at the Raj Bhavan of Telangana on February 20th.

The event commenced with the Governor extending warm wishes to the people of both states on their foundation day. She expressed her gratitude to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for initiating such a meaningful event. which really paves the way for national integration.

In her address, Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan highlighted the strong cultural and emotional ties between Arunachal Pradesh, and Mizoram with Telangana. She drew a insightful connection between Arunachal Pradesh and South India, referencing the revered Lord Arunachalesvara temple in the Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu.

The program featured video messages from the Hon'ble Governors of both Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. The celebration came alive with vibrant cultural performances, including a fascinating bamboo dance by talented participants from both states.

R. Lalhriatpuii, a Ph.D. scholar at Hyderabad University, anchored the event. Distinguished speakers, including Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu, IAS, Secretary of the Health Department, Government of Telangana; Dr. C. Vanlalhruaii, Assistant Professor at Hyderabad University; and Ejum Riba, a Master's student at Hyderabad University, addressed the gathering and shared their perspectives on the occasion. Esteemed guests from both states joined the celebration, adding to the festive atmosphere.

On the occasion of Dussehra, NTR's "Devara," is set to release on October 10




Devara, starring NTR, has been progressing with full force. Directed by the masterful Koratala Siva, this movie promises to be a global spectacle. Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor is cast as the leading lady, while another Bollywood star, Saif Ali Khan, is set to entertain in a key role.


The film is being made in two parts, with the first installment, "Devara Part 1," scheduled for a worldwide release on October 10. The makers have announced a grand release for "Devara Part 1" on October 10, on the occasion of Dussehra festival, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.

The release date poster has been impressing fans online, who are celebrating after seeing NTR's look. The poster suggests that the action sequences will be intense and that NTR's character will be portrayed with a heightened sense of mass appeal.

The glimpses of "Devara" released so far have trended and set records on social media, showcasing the film's anticipated impact. NTR plays the title role in "Devara," with Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Tovino Thomas, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain in key roles.

Devara is a highly anticipated film presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram while it is bankrolled under the banner of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts. Mikkilineni Sudhakar and Hari Krishna K are the producers. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music. Sreekar Prasad is handling the editing works, R. Rathnavelu is acting as the cinematographer, and Sabu Cyril is the production designer.

Trisha Krishnan Joins The Shoot Of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Vassishta, UV Creations Majestic Vishwambhara

  



Chiranjeevi joined the shoot of his magnum opus Vishwambhara a few days ago in a massive set in Hyderabad. The team erected a total of 13 huge sets in Hyderabad for this epic film. Meanwhile, the makers zeroed in on South Queen Trisha Krishnan to play the lead actress opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi in the movie.

The starlet joined the shoot today and she got a grand welcome from Chiranjeevi, director Vassishta, and producers. She is all set to add her charm and grace to the Mega Mass Beyond Universe. Trisha previously worked with Chiranjeevi in Stalin and we can expect magical chemistry in this combination.

The mega fantasy adventure is produced by the leading production house UV Creations. Vikram, Vamsi, and Pramod are producing the movie on a high budget which is going to be the costliest film for Chiranjeevi to date.

MM Keeravani scores the music, while Chota K Naidu is the cinematographer. AS Prakash is the production designer, while Sushmita Konidela is the costume designer.

Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Santhosh Kamireddy are the editors for the film. Sri Siva Shakthi Datta and Chandrabose are the lyric writers, while Srinivas Gavireddy, Ganta Sridhar, Nimmagadda Srikanth, and Mayukh Adithya are the script associates.

The makers also announced the release of the movie for Sankranthi in 2025 on January 10th.

Full dress rehearsals for the Republic Day Parade held at the Public Garden today











Full dress rehearsals for the Republic Day Parade 2024 were held at the Public Garden today.  Senior officials of the Airforce, Police, General Administration and other line departments participated in the rehearsals.  All arrangements were made for organising the function in a grand manner.

Honourable Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will unfurl the national flag at 7.30 AM.  She will later address the gathering.  Chief Minster Revanth Reddy, Council of Ministers, Public Representatives, senior officials of the central and state government and eminent people from different walks of life will attend the Republic Day function.  Governor will also host AT Home in the evening at Raj Bhavan.

DGP Ravi Gupta, Secretary Political Raghunandan Rao, DG Fire Services Nagi Reddy and other officials participated.

CM Revanth Reddy kickstarted the London Part of his Tour by Holding Three-Hours Long Discussions with Officials

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri A. Revanth Reddy







kickstarted the London part of his tour by holding three-hours long discussions with officials and experts of the principal water body governing body of river Thames - the Port of London Authority on Thursday.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy spoke of his vision for rejuvenating river Musi, and of the principal reason for visiting London - of learning about the management of river Thames, understanding and gathering insights from its management and collating best practices.

Ms. Sian Foster, Director of Corporate Affairs, and Ms. Raj Kehal-Livi, Head, Stakeholder Engagement, Port of London Authority, presented a comprehensive history of the developmental activities along River Thames, natural challenges and engineering response and solutions, stakeholder management, investments and revenue management, and best practices evolved over decades.

“Most cities on earth have developed historically besides rivers, lakes or the ocean. Water bodies are life-sustaining forces powering and enabling urban human habitats. Hyderabad developed along river Musi but is unique in being centered around Hussainsagar lake, and is fostered by other major water bodies, like Osmansagar. Once we reinvigorate and bring back Musi to its fullest force, Hyderabad will be powered by both a river and lakes,” explained Chief Minister.

Finding alignments with Hon’ble CM’s vision with the Vision 2050 of London authorities, Ms Kehal-Livi and Ms Foster said, “we are ensuring highest levels of sustainability for the river, even as we develop and optimise the developments along the banks. Finding optimal revenue models to ensure maximum benefits for people and local communities, and best-in-class project management for various projects underway and to be taken up in future is our continual focus.”

The apex body authorises assured all support to Hyderabad in all its efforts to rejuvenate river Musi. A more detailed outline of various potential partnership points was discussed. Both sides agreed to have more discussions and engagements in future and to collaborate on a posse of specific projects.

Sankranti Celebrated in a Traditional Way at Raj Bhavan












Hyderabad, Jan 13: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, along with Raj Bhavan Pariwar members, celebrated the Sankranti festival at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.

The Governor herself prepared the traditional Pongal dish and offered prayers for the health, prosperity, and wellbeing of all the people in the state and the nation.

After the ‘Pongal’ was prepared, the Governor offered the dish to the Lord Surya as per tradition.

The traditional Pongal dish, meaning ‘spilling over” or “boiling over,” signifies abundance and prosperity and is offered to the Sun as a thanksgiving gesture for keeping all healthy.

The Governor stated that it is our tradition to express gratitude to Mother Nature for all the abundance, health, and prosperity that we have during our this pongal festival which is essentially linked to nature.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan also thanked the farmers for the bumper harvest achieved through their hard work.

As part of the celebrations, the Governor extended festival greetings to media personnel by presenting them with sweets.

Governor Offers Prayers to Golden Padukas for Ayodhya Sri Ram Mandir











Hyderabad, January 9, 2024:  In a reverential gesture, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Hon'ble Governor of Telangana, offered prayers to a splendid pair of golden Padukas at Raj Bhavan today. One Mr. Challa Srinivasa Sastry of Hyderabad,made these exquisite Padukas which  are earmarked as his  cherished contribution to the Ayodhya  Sri Ram Mandir.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and other Raj Bhavan Pariwar members performed pujas to this sacred tribute at Raj Bhavan.

The forthcoming enshrinement of this remarkable pair in the inner sanctum of the Ayodhya temple, will receive the daily devotion of countless devotees.

The Governor lauded the efforts of Sri Challa Srinivasa Sastry and his dedicated services with devotion to Lord Rama.

Chilkuri Sushil Rao’s documentary “The Great Indian Tamarind Tree” to be screened at 7th International Folklore Film Festival, Kerala on Jan 10


“The Great Indian Tamarind Tree”, an English documentary produced and directed by Chilkuri Sushil Rao of Hyderabad, will be screened on January 10, 2024 at the 7th International Folklore Film Festival@India-Kerala-Thrissur.

The documentary will be screened at the C Achutha Menon Government College, Thrissur, during the 1.30 pm to 4 pm schedule of screenings.

The documentary is about how many people climbed onto the tamarind tree at Afzalgunj and could save their lives during the 1908 floods in Hyderabad. 

In the huge floods, hundreds of people lost their lives when the continuous downpour resulted in the Musi River being in spate.

Chilkuri Sushil Rao’s documentary was selected from among the 2000 entries for the prestigious film festival. 

The documentary figures among the 200 selected films and documentaries being screened at multiple locations. The festival began on January 5 and ends on January 10.

During the festival, films from Japan, South Africa, Brazil, Morocco, United States, Turkey, Indian, Iran, France, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Georgia, Sweden, Macedonia, Venezuela, Russian Federation, Poland, Ghana, Tunisia, Sudan, Kenya, Canada, Czech Republic, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Oman, Argentina, Serbia, Indonesia, Chile, Iraq, Tajikistan, Israel, Australia, France, UK, the Netherlands, Jordan, Taiwan, Algeria, Angola, Syrian Arab Republic, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Nepal, Pakistan, Macau, Mexico, Croatia, Lithuania, Portugal, Hungary, Colombia, Austria, and Estonia are being screened.  

“It is personally satisfying for me that the documentary is being screened at the 7th International Folklore Film Festival in Thrissur. The documentary has a strong message to convey. It shows how people irrespective of their backgrounds, culture, and religion, helped one another to survive the flood by climbing onto the tree,” the documentary filmmaker said. 

Festival director V S Seetha said in the country focus section of the festival, there are films from France, Brazil, Spain, Turkey, Portugal, South Africa, Germany, China, Morocco, Philippines, Italy, and Egypt.

“The films mirror the cultural diversity of different countries,” Seetha said. 

PWD Resthouse complex, Thirssur, Centre for Media Studies, St Thomas College, Government Fine Arts College, Thrissur, Sri C Achutha Menon Government College, Thrissur, and St Mary’s College, Thrissur.

Six films by women directors from Iran are also being screened at the festival.

The 42nd All India Police Equestrian Championship & Mounted Police Duty Meet, 2023 concluded on January 5, 2024











































The 42nd All India Police Equestrian Championship & Mounted Police Duty Meet, 2023 concluded on January 5, 2024, at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy with a spectacular closing ceremony. The event spanned over 10 days and saw enthusiastic participation from 22 teams representing various Central Police Organizations, Central Armed Police Forces, and State Police Forces. A total of 605 gentlemen officers/staff and 14 lady officers/staff actively took part in 34 events named One Day Event One Star, Dressage, Tent Pegging, Show Jumping, Medley Relay, Hacks, Mental Hazard Test etc, showcasing their skills with 311 horses.

The Jury for this prestigious event comprised 15 serving and retired officers, including five former DGPs, who played a crucial role in ensuring fair judgment.

 

Air Marshal S. Shrinivas, VSM, Commandant, Air Force Academy, Dundigal, honored the occasion as the Chief Guest for the Closing Ceremony.  Director Shri Amit Garg graced the event with his presence.  Faculty, 76 RR IPS Trainees, and staff were present.

 

The 42nd All India Police Equestrian Championship & Mounted Police Duty Meet, 2023 not only showcased the exceptional skills of the participants but also served as a platform for fostering mutual respect and cooperation among the law enforcement community.
