Pavitrotsavams Commences at Tiruchanoor





The annual Pavitrotsvams commenced on a grand religious note at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor on Saturday. 

 

After the morning rituals of Suprabhatam, Sahasranamarchana etc.Dwaratorana Dhwajakumbha Avahanam, Chakradi Mandalapuja, Chatustarchana, Agnipratistha, Pavitra Pratistha were perofrmed.

 

Later in the afternoon Snapana Tirumanjanam to Ammavaru was performed in Sri Krishna Mukha Mandapam. 

 

Temple Deputy EO Smt Kasturi Bai, AEO Sri Prabhakar Reddy and others were present.

Pavitrotsavams in Narayana Vanam on 19th and 20th September


The annual Pavitrotsavams in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Narayanavanam will be observed on September 19 and 20 in Ekantam in adherence to Covid guidelines.

 

The Ankurarpanam will be performed on September 19 at 9:30pm while on September 20 Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed to the utsava murthies followed by Pavitramala Samarpana.

 

In the evening, the utsava murthies whill be paraded on a celestial procession within the temple premises.


Wide Publicity to Annamaiah Sankeertanas in SVBC






TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy said that the SVBC will henceforth provide wide publicity to the Tallapaka Annamacharya Sankeertans in a big way.

 

The TTD Chairman who released the promos of “Adivo-Alladivo” program of Annamaiah Sankeertana competitions for youth at Annamaiah Bhavan on Friday morning, said that the TTD has decided to involve the youth of Chennai and Bangalore along with both Telugu states.

 

In the first stage district level contests will be held and thereafter state level competitions and the singing competitions will be sported from among 4000 new sankeetans recorded by the TTD. The competitions will be a platform to inculcate Bhakti path among present day youth.

 

As part of campaign TTD has invited 15-25 year old singers in Chittoor district  to apply through the TTD website or directly and selection auditions will be held at SVBC office on September 25 and 26. For such of those who could not physically present TTD would organise through Zoom meeting between 10.00 am- 6.00 pm on September 27.

 

TTD Chairman said the contest will be conducted in Kannada and Hindi channels of SVBC to be launched during Brahmotsavas in October.

 

TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, SVBC Chairman Sri Sai Krishna Yachendra, SVBC Sri Suresh Kumar, SVBC Director Sri Srinivasa Reddy were present.

Sri Vari Brahmotsavams in Ekantham - TTD Chairman

 TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy announced that the annual Srivari Brahmotsavams this year too will be held in Ekantam keeping in view the health safety of devotees and TTD employees.

 

Speaking to reporters at Annamaiah Bhavan on Friday the Chairman said the decision was in adherence to new Covid guidelines issued by the Central & State Governments in view of the possibility of Third-wave likely in October.

 

He said only 15,000 to 20,000 devotees are being provided Srivari Darshan daily in consonance with Covid regulations of sanitisation, mask, social distancing. He said curbs in Darshan would continue for some more time and temple activities will be restricted till normalcy is restored.

 

The Chairman said due to technical snags the online issue of SSD tokens is being delayed and soon after rectifying the problem, the SSD tokens will soon be issued in online.

 



TTD Board Members Sworn in





Sri Malladi Krishna Rao from Yanam and Sri AP Nanda Kumar, legislator of Anakattu of Vellore District in Tamilnadu took oath as members of TTD Trust Board.

 

TTD JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi administered oath with these two members inside Srivari temple on Friday. After darshan, they were rendered Vedasirvachanam at Ranganayakula Mandapam and presented with Theerth Prasadam.

 

Sri Krishna Rao thanked AP CM Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy for giving an opportunity to serve the devotees in the abode of Sri Venkateswara Swamy while Sri Nanda Kumar thanked both AP CM as well Tamilnadu CM Sri MK Stalin for the divine opportunity to render service to the visiting pilgrims.

 

DyEOs Sri Ramesh Babu, Smt Sudha Rani were also present.

TTD Resumes Lower Classes in Tirumala Sri Venkateswara High School




Upon the request of Tirumala residents and under the directives of TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, the lower classes have been resumed in TTD-run SV High School at Tirumala on Friday, said TTD JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi.

 

In connection with the resumption of classes the JEO inspected the SV High School at Tirumala on Friday along with Devasthanam Education Officer Sri C Govindarajan.

 

Speaking on the occasion she said it was brought to the notice of TTD authorities that the Tirumala locals have been facing difficulties in sending their children to lower classes to the schools in Tirupati during the pandemic and hence the lower classes were begun at the SV high school.

 

She also inspected the quality of food being served to the students in Mid Day meals. The JEO also instructed the Head Master Sri Krishnamurthy to improve facilities after holding a meeting the with the parents of the pupils. Later she interacted with the parents who expressed their satisfaction over the amenities being provided by TTD to their children.
