Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam Held

he traditional temple cleaning fete Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam in connection with ensuing annual Brahmotsavams was held with utmost religious fervour in Tirumala temple on Tuesday.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy said, "this fete is performed four times in a year on the preceding Tuesday before Telugu Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, annual Brahmotsavams and Vaikunta Ekadasi. Today this fete was performed in connection with ensuing annual Brahmotsavam ",  he maintained.

 

An aromatic mixture called Parimalam is applied on the walls, roofs and smeared on entire temple premises and also in all sub-temples.

 

New Delhi LAC Chief Smt Prasanti Reddy, CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore, CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, temple Peishkar Sri Srihari, Parupattedar Sri Uma Maheswar Reddy and other officials were also present.

₹ 1 Cr Donated

 Chennai based Smt Subeena Banu and Sri Abdul Ghani couple, have donated Rs.1.02crores to TTD on Tuesday.

 

The donation includes Rs.87lakhs worth furniture and utensils for the newly constructed Sri Padmavathi Rest House and a DD for Rs.15lakhs towards SV Annaprasadam Trust.

 

They handed over the DD to TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy at Ranganayakula Mandapam in Tirumala temple.

 

 



TTD Launches QR Code Facility for Tirumala Locations

 Hereafter devotees who are thronging Tirumala from different parts of the country, speaking different lingos need not have to struggle to get proper directions, as TTD has come out with yet another pilgrim-friendly initiative.

 

TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy reviewed and did a trial-run of this new QR code facility in his camp office on Tuesday which will be initially piloted on Srivari Sevaks who render free services at different places in Tirumala.

 

Usually, the Srivari Seva volunteers hail from 13 states across the country and especially those coming from Northern and Eastern States feel difficulty in searching the places where they were allotted duty due to the language barrier.

 

However, this new facility will provide an easy way out to reach the required destination with ease. All they have to do is to scan the QR code on their smart phones and get instant directions to over 40 locations in Tirumala including CRO, Additional EO Office, all cottages, rest houses, laddu counters, Vaikuntam queue complex, Vigilance office, hospitals, Museum, Mutts, Mada streets, police station, luggage and mobile storage units and others.

 

The TTD EO lauded the new tech initiative developed jointly by TTD Engineering and PR division which is useful for the devotees to a great extent.

 

The EO also instructed TTD PRO Dr T Ravi to pilot the QR code facility on Srivari Sevaks during the ensuing annual festival which will be of a great help to them to identify and reach their specified service locations to offer services to pilgrims everyday without any confusion and delay.

SED, Arjita Seva and Angapradakshyinam Online Quota to be Released on 21st Sep


TTD will release the online quota of Rs.300 SED tickets for the month of November will be released on TTD website on September 21 at 9am.

 

The Arjitha Seva tickets including Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Sahasra deepalankara seva for the month of November will be available for booking on September 21 at 3pm. These tickets will be issued on a first come first serve booking basis as per the availability of tickets.

 

The Srivari Arjitha seva Electronic dip registrations for the month of November will be available from September 21 onwards.

 

The Angapradakshinam tokens for the month of October will be released online on September 22 by 9am. However, the tokens for the Brahmotsavam dates i.e. from October 01-05 remain blocked.

 

Devotees are requested to make note of this and book the tickets accordingly.

 



Real Happiness is in Achiving Higher Goals - TTD Eo

TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy said on Monday that the real happiness for a student lies in achieving higher goals in his or her career.

 

Addressing students after a visit to














Sri Venkateshwara Arts College, which has bagged NAAC A+, the TTD EO said the students should aim and achieve goals and make their parents happy.

 

He called upon teachers to do their best by guiding students to become achievers with mutual appreciation of each other’s strengths.

 

He wanted TTD educational institutions to become competitive in achieving high standards in imparting quality education to students. Urging students to focus on acquiring knowledge, he said Bhagavad-Gita is a scientific handbook to understand nuances of society.

 

 

TTD EO called upon students, teachers and staff to maintain classrooms, hostel and surroundings on their own by doing Shramadanam. He said students prepare for competitive exams of either civil service, banking or job-oriented tasks.

 

Earlier the Principal of SV Arts college Dr Narayanamma made a power point presentation on academic courses, social services etc. of the institution.

 

Thereafter the TTD EO also visited the college labs, hostel rooms, kitchen and made valuable suggestions and also instructed officials to remove wastes lying in college and kitchen premises.

 

JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi, DEO Sri Govindarajan, SE (electrical) Sri Venkateswarlu, EE Sri Venugopal and others were present.

SVITSA To Hold Three Day Workshop on Traditional Sclpting

 TTD is set to organize a three-day workshop in traditional sculpting under the aegis of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Traditional Sculpture and Architecture (SVITSA) from September 21 to 23 in Tirupati.


About a dozen stalwarts in the field of Architecture will deliver lectures during these three days which include temple construction in South India, Transformation of Hindu temples, stone idols and metal idols preparation techniques, Vigraha Pratistha-consecration of idols, traditional paintings, the significance of sculptures in Shilpa Shastra, Saiva, Vaishnava, Sakteya Agamas and many more interesting topics.


On day one, Sri Dakshinamurthy, a renowned Stapathi from Chennai will deliver a lecture on the significance of sculptures in South India as per Shilpa Shastra between 10 am and 11:30 am while the CEO of Pleach India Foundation Dr. Sivanagi Reddy from Hyderabad will deliver a lecture on Transformation of Hindu temples between 11:45 am to 1:30 pm.


In the afternoon session, renowned Stapathi from Kumbakonam of Tamilnadu Sri Deva Radhakrishna will deliver a lecture on Metal Sculpting techniques between 2 pm and 3:30 pm while TTD Agama Advisor Dr. Vishnubhattacharyulu will speak on Consecration of Vigraham.


On the second day on September 22, between 10 am and 11:30 am, Sri Seshabrahmam of Hyderabad will speak on Traditional Art techniques while Dr. Nageswara Rao of Hyderabad will render a lecture on Qualities of Idols in Shilpa Shastra between 11:45 am and 1:30 pm. In the afternoon session, Sri Sundararajan retired Sthapathi from Chennai will deliver a lecture on the Temple construction techniques of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana between 2 pm and 3:30 pm.


On the last day, between 10 am and 11:30 am, Sri Kirankranth Chowdary will deliver a lecture on the History of Paintings and Drawings in India while retired Sthapathi from Hyderabad Dr. Velu will deliver a lecture on the importance of Prasadams in South Indian temples. In the afternoon between 2 pm and 3:30 pm, Coimbattor-based Sthapathi Sri Selvam will speak on stone idols making techniques followed by the lecture on Temple Architecture and Constructions by Sri Munaswami Reddy.
