Ankurarpanam Held











As the annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Tirupati are set to commence from March 20 onwards, the ritual of prelude, Ankurarpanam was performed on Sunday evening.


Both the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala, DyEO Smt Nagaratna, AEO Sri Mohan and other officials were present.


The annual fete will commence with Dhwajarohanam on Monday between 8:45am and 9.32am.

TTD JEo Inspects Arrangements in Vontimitta








In connection with annual brahmotsavams at Vontimitta Sri Kodandaramalayam scheduled to commence from March 30 onwards, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam inspected the ongoing works with other officials on Saturday.


As part of it, he also inspected the Kalyana Vedika where the state festival of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam is set to take place on April 5.


Speaking to the media the JEO said, the works are going on a fast pace in Vontimitta as per our plan. TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy will hold a review meeting over arrangements with the TTD and district officials on Sunday.


"Prior to it today we inspected and the arrangements to be made for Annaprasadam, buttermilk, water distribution, security arrangements at CM camping place, temple, kalyana vedika, engineering works etc., he added.


CE Sri Nageswara Rao, SVBC CEO Sri Shanmukh Kumar, Catering Special Officer Sri Shastry and other officials were present.

Annamacharya Vardhanti Festivities Commences







In connection with the 520th Vardhanti fete of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya, the festivities have commenced in Annamacharya Kalamandiram at Tirupati with Annamayya Gosti Ganam.


In Mahati also Harikatha Parayanam and devotional cultural programme will be presented on the occasion.


Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma is supervising the arrangements.

Annamacharya Vardhanti Observed












The 520th Death Anniversary of Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya was observed with utmost devotion in Tirumala on Saturday evening.


The 46th Pontiff of Ahobilam Mutt Sri Satagopa Ranganatha Yateendra Mahadesikan Swamiji in his Anugraha Bhashanam on the occasion recalled the connection of Annamacharya with Ahobila Mutt and said the saint poet underwent his vedic education in the Mutt. He also said with the divine blessings of Sri Narasimha Swamy, Annamacharya was granted 32 Beejakshara Maha Mantram and penned 32thousand poetical gems in the form of Sankeertans.


Annamacharya Project Chief Dr Vibhishana Sharma said TTD is bringing out ''Annamaiah Sankeertana Lahari'' soon in the form of a book with meanings and essence for each Kriti.


"Last year we tuned 300 new songs and this year another 340 are under way", he maintained.


Earlier, the Annamacharya Project artistes and vocalists of SV College of Music and Dance rendered Sapthagiri Sankeertans penned by the saint poet in a befitting manner in front of Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi on a finely decked unjal in Narayanagiri Gardens.


Later TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy presented the Srivari prasadams to the Pontiff.


Temple Peishkar Sri Srihari, TTD Asthana Vidhwan Dr Balakrishna Prasad, Principal of SVCMD Dr Uma Muddubala, veteran and versatile Annamacharya Project artistes, Bhajana team members from different states were also present.


Akhanda Hanuman Chalisa Held





Akhanda Hanuman Chalisa was held at Nada Neerajanam and Astana Mandapam in Tirumala on Saturday.


The recitation began at 9:30 and will conclude on Sunday. This is to continue for 24 hours.


This religious event took place under the supervision of Former TTD Trust Board Member and Yuga Tulasi founder Sri Siva Kumar.


TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, 500 devotees belonging to twin Telugu states were also present.

Puspayagam Held














The annual Pushpayagam was held with spiritual fervour in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram on Saturday.


Earlier during the day Snapana Tirumanjanam was held to the deities while in the evening Pushpayagam was performed between 2pm and 4:30pm.


About 3.5tonnes of varieties of flowers donated by flower donors from Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Telengana apart from AP were used.


Special Gr DyEO Smt Varalakshmi, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu and other officials and devotees were present.

Ankurarpanam for Sri Kodandarama Swamy Vari Temple Brahmotsavams on 19th March



TIRUPATI, 18 MARCH 2023: In connection with the annual brahmotsavam in Sri Kodanda Ramalayam in Tirupati which is set to commence from March 20, Ankurarpanam will be observed on March 19.


On Sunday evening, Senadhipathi Utsavam, Medini Pooja, Mritsangrahanam will be performed during Beejavapanam.


On March 20 Dhwajarohanam will be observed between 8:45am and 9:32am.


Every day vahana sevas will be observed between 8am and 9:30am again between 7pm and 8:30pm.


TTD Takes Over Rajam Temple





TTD has taken over Sri Padmavathi Bhudevi sahita Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Rajam district of Vizianagaram on Friday.


The members of Balaji Trust who were managing the affairs of the temple handed over the documents related to the temple to TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on his visit to the temple.


The EO speaking to the media said there are about 60 taken-over temples under the umbrella of TTD at present and Rajam temple will come under the supervision of Deputy EO Visakhapatnam.


He said Sri Grandhi Mallikharjuna Rao jas constructed this temple and were managed by Balaji Trust members through GMR Varalakshmi Foundation.


The rituals in the temple will be carried as per the tenets of Pancharatra Agama, he maintained.


Donors of the temple, Trust members, TTD officials were present.


Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam Held on Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Vari Temple








The traditional temple cleansing ritual Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was held in Sri Kodandarama temple in Tirupati on Friday.


The annual brahmotsavam are scheduled between March 20-28 and in connection with this the temple cleaning ritual was observed between 6.30am and 9:30am.


Hyderabad-based Smt Prasanna Reddy and Tirupati-based Sri Mani have donated five and four temple curtains respectively for the occasion.


DyEOs Smt Nagaratna, Sri Govindarajan, AEO Sri Mohan, Superintendent Sri Ramesh, Chief Priest Sri Anandakumar Deekshitulu were present.


Maha Kumbhabhishekam for Chennai Padmavathi Ammavari Temple Observed







The Maha Kumbhabhishekam for Sri Padmavathi Tayar temple that has come up in GN Chetti road at Chennai was observed with religious grandeur.


The day on Friday began with a series of Vedic rituals Vishwaksena Aradhana, Chatustanarchana, Bali Harana, Gosti, Brahma Ghosha, Veda Sattumora, Maha Purnahuti, Prayaschitta Homams, Shanti Homams and Purnahuti followed by Kumbha Udhwasana, Kumbha Samprokshana, Vimana and Rajagopura Kumbha Prokshana rituals between 4am and 12noon.


Later Sri Padmavathi Srinivasa Kalyanam was held with spiritual fervour witnessed by hundreds of devotees.
