Vontimitta Ankurarpanam on 16th April




The annual Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavam in Vontimitta will commence from April 17 onwards with Ankurarpanam on April 16 in the famous temple of Sri Kodanda Ramalayam.


All Dharmika Projects of TTD will organize Kavi Sammelanam on April 17 and 18 in connection with Bammera Potana Jayanti.


The annual Brahmotsavams flag off with Dhwajarohanam on April 17 between 10:30am and 11am.


TTD will be organising special cultural programmes till April 25.

Ramanavami Utsavams

The Sri Rama Navami Utsavams in




Sri Kodanda Ramalayam in Tirupati will be observed from April 17 to 19.


On April 18, Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam will be observed between 6pm and 8pm on payment of Rs.1000 per ticket on which two persons will be allowed.


On April 19, Sri Rama Pattabhishekam will be observed.


From April 21 to 23 annual Teppotsavams will be observed in Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini in the evening between 7pm and 8:30pm.

Chandragiri Ramalayam Brahmotsavams




The annual Brahmotsavam in the ancient temple of Sri Kodanda Ramalayam in Chandragiri will be observed from April 17 to 25 with Ankurarpanam on April 16.


On April 23, Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam will be observed from 10am to 11:30am while Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on April 26 between 9am and 10:15am.


The HDPP is organising devotional cultural programmes every day during annual fest.


Annual Vasanthotsavam Begaluru Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temple from 21st to 23rd April



TTD is organising the annual Vasanthotsavam of Sri Venkateswara temple in Bengaluru from April 21-23. 


As a part of the festivities every day Snapana  Tirumanjanam in the morning, Asthanam in the evening and Unjal seva in the night will be observed on all three days.


Couples interested can participate in the event by contributing 1000 per ticket and beget one uttariyam, one blouse, one laddu and one vada as prasadam.

Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on 18th April

In Tirumala Srivari Temple, a grand Asthanam will be held on  April 17 to celebrate Sri Ram Navami.  On this occasion, in the evening Sri Rama will be taken on a procession on Hanuman carrier.  


Similarly,




Sri Rama Pattabhishekam will be performed on April 18 in Srivari Temple.


On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, on Wednesday from 9 am to 11 am, Snana Tirumanjanam will be held for the Hanumantulavari Utsavarlu along with Sri Sitarama Lakshmana at Ranganayakula Mandapam.  


Hanumantha Vahana Seva will be held between 6.30 pm and 8 pm.  After that, between 9pm to 10 pm Sri Ramanavami Asthanam will be observed.  


Due to this reason, TTD has cancelled Sahasra Deepalankara Seva.


On April 18, between 8 and 9 pm, Sri Rama Pattabhisheka Mahotsava Asthanam will be observed.

Wedding Festivities of Sri Rama Commenes with Haridhra Ghatanam
















The grand gala of celestial marriage festivities of Sri Sita Rama in Vontimitta commenced with the traditional ''Haridhra Ghatanam'' on Saturday.


Women devotees pounced about three kilos of turmeric roots on the occasion chanting Jai Sri Ram.


Earlier the turmeric roots and the rolling stone and pouncing stone were rendered special Pujas inside Garbhalayam.


Archaka Shravana Swamy informed the significance of the event to devotees stating that the Haridhra Ghatanam marks the beginning of the celestial marriage festivities. "The turmeric will be utilised for Snapanam and preparation of Talambralu.


Pradhana Archaka Sri Raghavacharyulu, Vontimitta Special Officer Smt Prasanthi, Superintendent Sri Hanumantu, temple inspector Sri Naveen, large number of women devotees, archakas Manoj, Pavan were also present.


TTD Gives Technical Advice to Ayodhya




A team of Engineering officials from TTD led by EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy visited Ayodhya upon the temple Trust invitation and provided technical advice to them on crowd management.


It may be mentioned here that upon the request of Shri Rama Janmabhumi Theertha Kshetra Trust, TTD officials team have earlier visited on February 16 and 17 this year to assess the requirements of the Trust for providing hassle-free darshan to the devotees akin to Tirumala.


On Saturday evening a meeting was held between the TTD EO and organizers of the Trust. 


A comprehensive report comprising Technical Advice on Crowd Management, queue lines, water points, enter and exit ways etc.was submitted to the Trust.


Later the TTD team had darshan of Sri Bala Rama in Ayodhya Mandiram.


From TTD, Technical Advisor Sri Ramachandra Reddy, SE2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Deputy EEs Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Nagaraju participated while on behalf of Ram Mandir Trust Sri Champath Roy, Sri Gopalji, Sri Anil Mishra, Sri Dinesh, Sri Sukhla were present.

Dhwajavarohanam Held







The nine-day annual fete comes to a grand conclusion with Dhwajavarohanam in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple on Saturday evening in Tirupati.


The Garuda Flag was lowered from the temple mast amidst the chanting of Vedic Mantras on the occasion.


DyEO Smt Nagaratna, AEO Sri Parthasaradhi and others were present.

Chakrasnanam Performed in Sri Kodandarama Swamy Vari Temple












On the last day of the Tirupati Sri Kodandaramaswamy Brahmotsavam, Chakrasnanam was held at Pushkarini in Kapilatirtham on Saturday morning.  


A significant number of devotees participated and performed holy baths.  Brahmotsavam will end with flag lowering at night.


Earlier, at 7.30am Sri Seeta Lakshmana sameta Sri Ramachandra brought to Kapilatirtham on a palanquin.  From 9 am to 10.30 am,  Snapana Tirumanjanam ceremony was held for the idols in the mandapam of Sri Venugopalaswamy temple.  


Afterwards, the priests performed the Chakrasanam while chanting the Vedic mantras.


After that Swami moved to PR garden of Sri Govindarajaswamy High School.  In the evening He leaves from there and reaches Sri Kodandaramalaya via Theerthakatta Veedhi, Kotakommala Veedi and Kottaveedhi.  


In between, Asthana will be held at Sri Anjaneyaswamy temple and Sri Vaikhanasacharya temple.


Tirumala Sri Peddajeyarswamy,  Sri Chinnajeerswamy, Deputy EO of the temple Smt Nagaratna, AEO Sri Parthasarathy, Kankanabhattar Sri Sitaramacharyu, Superintendent Sri Somasekhar and a large number of devotees participated in this program.

Aswa Vahana Seva Held











The last among Vahana sevas, the Aswa Vahana was held in Tirupati on Friday evening as part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam in Sri Kodanda Ramalayam.


Lord Sri Rama donned the Alankara of Universal Warrior Kalki and blessed His devotees.


Both the Tirumala Pontiffs of Pedda Jeeyar and Chinna Jeeyar mutts, DyEOs Sri Govindarajan, Smt Nagaratna, others, devotees were also present.

Sitarama Kalyanam on 22nd April Between 6.30 to 8.30 PM in A Grand Way - TTD Eo















Elaborate arrangements have been made for the ensuing annual Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams in Vontimitta and the state festival of Sri Sitarama Kalyanam will be held on April 22 between 6:30pm and 8:30pm said, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


Speaking to the media on Friday here he said in view of the annual event, the traditional temple cleansing fete, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was observed. The annual Brahmotsavam will commence on April 16 with Ankurarpanam followed by Dhwajarohanam on April 17 on the day of the Srirama Navami festival and concludes on April 25, he added.


He said TTD along with the local district administration made arrangements keeping in view the heavy turnout of pilgrims and scorching temperatures.


The EO said, permanent structures have been built at Kalyana Vedika and arrangements for drinking water, Annaprasadam have been made at galleries and entry points. Both the police and TTD security will ensure safety measures towards incident free event.


District Collector Sri Vijayaramaraju instructed the officials concerned to complete the pending works including barricading, erection of CC cameras, Public Address System before April 15.


Later the EO along with the district and TTD officials inspected the ongoing arrangements at Kalyana Vedika.


On behalf of district administration, Joint Collector Sri Ganesh Kumar, SP Sri Siddharth Koushal, Municipal Commissioner Sri Suryasai Praveen Chand and other officials were also present.


While from TTD, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, and others were also present.
