TTD will conduct the annual Anivara Asthanam in a grand and traditional manner at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple and Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple, Tirupati, on July 17.
Anivara Asthanam is a special annual court ceremony observed on the last day of the Tamil month of Aani. During the Mahant era, it marked the beginning of the temple's annual accounts and administration.
At Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, the Asthanam will be held from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. at the Bangaru Vakili in the presence of Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi. New silk clothes will be brought in a ceremonial procession from Sri Pundarikavalli Ammavari Temple and offered to the deity.
At Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple, the Asthanam will be conducted from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. before Garudalwar for the utsava deities of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy with Sita and Lakshmana. New garments will later be ceremonially offered to both the presiding and utsava deities.
Tirumala Jeeyar Swamys and temple officials will participate in the ceremony.
