The Pattabhishekam celebrations of Sri Pattabhirama Swamy at Valmikipuram began on a grand note on Tuesday with a series of traditional rituals.
As part of the celebrations, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed at 10 am with milk, curd, honey, turmeric and sandalwood.
In the evening, the Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam was performed in a grand and devotional atmosphere. The temple priests conducted Punyahavachanam, Sadyo Ankurarpanam, Rakshabandhanam and special worship, followed by Agni Pratishtha, Madhupurkam, Kanyadanam, Maha Sankalpam, Mangalyapuja and other traditional wedding rituals. Mangalyadharanam, Purnahuti, Akshataropanam, Muthyala Talambralu, Mala Marpidi and Harathi were also performed.
After the Kalyanam, Sri Pattabhirama Swamy blessed devotees on Hanumantha Vahanam.
Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on August 19
On August 19, Yagasala puja and Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed at 6.30 am, followed by the grand Sri Rama Pattabhishekam.
An Unjal Seva will be held at 6 pm, followed by Sri Pattabhirama Swamy’s procession on Garuda Vahanam at 8 pm.
The celebrations will conclude with Maha Purnahuti, Kumbhodvasana and Kumbha Prokshanam.
Arjitha Seva
Two householders can participate in the Sri Rama Pattabhishekam Arjitha Seva by paying Rs.300. The participating couple will be presented with one Uttariyam, one Ravika and Annaprasadam.
Temple AEO Sri Gopinath, Temple Inspector Sri Nagaraju, Archakas Sri Krishna Prasad Bhattar, Sri Bhaskaracharyulu and Sri Gopal Swamy, along with a large number of devotees, participated in the celebrations.
