VAIKHANASA AGAMA IS A DISTINCT VEDIC AGAMA TRADITION-SCHOLARS

A special programme was held at the Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala on Friday to mark the birth anniversary of Sage Vikhanasa, jointly organized by the TTD Alwar Divya Prabandha Project and Sri Vaikhanasa Divya Siddhanta Vivardhini Sabha.

Scholars highlighted the significance of Vaikhanasa Agama, stating that Sage Vikhanasa is its founder and that the tradition, based on the Vaikhanasa Kalpasutra, provides systematic guidelines for temple construction, consecration, worship and festivals.

They noted that the rituals at the Tirumala temple are performed according to Vaikhanasa Agama and emphasized its message of devotion, dharma, compassion and universal welfare. The scholars appreciated TTD’s efforts to preserve and promote this ancient spiritual heritage.

The programme was presided over by Sri Ganjam Prabhakaracharyulu, Secretary of Sri Vikhanasa Trust. Scholars and dignitaries, including Sri Agnihotra Sanath Kumar Acharyulu, Prof. Dr. Vedantham Srivishnu Bhattacharyulu and Dr. D.V. Hayagrivacharyulu, participated.
