Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam on 21st March



In connection with Sri Sobhakrit Nama Ugadi, the traditional temple cleansing fete Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed on March 21.


The entire temple including the roof and walls of the sanctum sanctorum are cleansed with an aromatic mixture called Parimalam which will be smeared all along the premises.


This will be observed between 6am and 11am and devotees will be allowed for darshan from 12noon onwards.


Rituals Commence in Chennai Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple





The consecration rituals commence in Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple at GN Chetti Road in Chennai on Monday.

 

The Maha Kumbhabhishekam

and Vigraha Pratista programmes commenced as per the tenets of Pancharatra Agama Shastra under the supervision of Agama Advisor Sri Srinivasacharyulu.

 

Vishwaksena Aradhana, Ankurarpanam, Mritsangrahanam etc. performed on Sunday.

 

Chennai Local Advisory Committee Chairman Sri Sekhar Reddy, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, SE Electrical Sri Venkateswarulu, EE Sri Manoharam, DyEOs Sri Gunabhushan Reddy, Sri Vijay Kumar, VGO Sri Manohar were also present.

Sri Rama Navami and Pattabhishekam Asthanams in Tirumala Temple on 30th and 31st March

 In connection with the auspicious Sri Rama Navami and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on March 30 and 31, TTD is conducting the Asthanams on the respective days.


On the day of Sri Rama Navami on March 30, the utsava deities of Sri Sita, Lakshmana, Anjaneya Sameta Sri Rama Chandra Murthy will be seated at Ranganayakula Mandapam on a special platform and Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed between 9am and 11am.


Later in the evening, Hanumantha Vahanam takes place between 6.30pm and 8pm followed by Sri Rama Navami Asthanam at Bangaru Vakili between 9pm and 10pm.


On March 31, Sri Rama Pattabhisheka Asthanam will be performed between 8pm and 9pm at Bangaru Vakili inside Tirumala temple.



Pushpayagam in Sri Kalayana Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temple on 18th March



The annual Pushpayagam in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple will be observed by 

TTD on March 18 with Ankurarpanam on March 17.


The annual brahmotsavams in this famous shrine were held between February 11 to 18 in a grand manner. As a "Prayaschita" to sins committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the religious, temple or even devotees, Pushpa Yagam is observed as an annual fete.


The processional deities of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara, Sridevi and Bhudevi will be rendered a floral bath on this auspicious day with several tonnes of varieties of traditional and ornamental flowers between 2pm and 4pm.


Earlier during the day Snapana Tirumanjanam will also be rendered to the processional deities between 10am and 11am.


The temple authorities have cancelled Nitya Kalyanotsavam on that day owing to the annual Pushpayagam.

Ugadi Asthanam on 22nd March



On the auspicious day of Chaitra Suddha Padhyami on March 22, Ugadi Asthanam will be observed in Tirumala temple.


In connection with Ugadi on March 22, the traditional temple cleansing festival Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed on March 21.


As such, TTD has cancelled all the Arjita Sevas on the day of Ugadi.


While TTD has also cancelled VIP Break Darshan on March 21 and 22, owing to Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam and Ugadi respectively. As such, no recommendation letters for VIP Break darshan will be accepted on March 20 and 21.


The devotees are requested to make note of this and cooperate with TTD.

Scholars Tributes Paid to Rallapalle Anantha Krishna Sharma






On the 44th death anniversary of renowned scholar Sri Rallapalle Anantakrishna Sharma, scholars recalled his impeccable services.


The event was held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati in Saturday evening, 

Scholars lauded the services of the eminent scholar who framed lovable tunes to the multitude of popular Annamacharya Sankeertans.


Earlier during the day the live statue of Sri Rallapalle located at Sri Padmavathi Mahila University junction road with garlands.


Chief Audit Officer Sri Sesha Sailendra, Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma, successors of Sri Rallapalle, Sri Syama Sundar, Sri Nandanandana and others were also present.

Annamacharya Vardhanti Fete on 18th March



The 520 Death Anniversary of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya will be observed in Tirumala on March 18.

 

Sankeertana Tributes will be paid to the great saint poet at Narayanagiri gardens from 6pm onwards in the presence of Sri Bhu Sameta Sri Malayappa Swamy.

 

Ahobila Mutt Seer will render his Anugraha Bhashanam on the occasion.

 

Director Annamacharya Project Dr Vibhishana Sharma is supervising the arrangements.

 

Set Up Heritage Corridors in SVVU - TTD EO

 The Vedic education need to be implemented as per the norms of National Education Policy 2020 from next academic year onwards in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

 

Reviewing with the vedic varsity officials in his chambers in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Friday, the EO said, the entire premises of the university should be given an aesthetic look and directed the officials concerned to set up Heritage Corridors related to Vedas, Agamas, Jyothisha, etc.and related information need to displayed in these respective corridors. Similarly, he also instructed to enhance greenery in the varsity premises.

 

The EO informed the concerned to ensure that the food in the hostels be prepared as per Dittam. "The area should reverberate with divine chants of Vedic mantras round the clock and the Radio and Broadcasting department of TTD should make necessary arrangements for the same", he added.

 

Keeping in view the better future and opportunities for Vedic students, besides their regular academics, they should be trained in modern languages also. The scanning of two lakhs odd manuscripts need to speed up", he instructed.

 

JEO (H&E) Smt Sada Bhargavi, Vice Chancellor Sri Rani Sadasivamurthy, Registrar Dr Radhesyam, EE Sri Mallikarjuna Prasad and others were present.






Silver Fan Wands Donated





Tirupati based Sri Venkateswaraiah and Smt Udayalakshmi have donated Rs. 1.20lakhs worth two silver fan wands(Chamaras) to Sri Kodandaramalayam in Tirupati on Friday.

 

They handed over the donation to the temple DyEO Smt Nagaratna.

 

Superintendent Sri Ramesh, Chief Priest Sri Ananda Kumar Deekshitulu were also present.

Complete Cancer Hospital Construction on Time - TTD JEo(H&E)




The ongoing construction works of Sri Balaji International Center for Advanced Cancer Research in SVIMS Hospital premises should be completed within the time schedule, directed Smt Sada Bhargavi, the TTD JEO for Health and Education.


A review meeting was held by the JEO on the status of construction works, infrastructure, machinery, manpower etc. at SPRH Tirupati on Thursday evening.


Speaking on the occasion, she said the Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy is keen about the construction of this international standard Cancer Research Center. TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy and EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy are enquiring about the progress of works at regular intervals. Before March 31 the construction plan, designs should be completed without further delay, she directed the concerned officials.


Any issue shall be discussed with Chairman and EO the works shall be taken forward through negotiations with SVIMS, APMIDC, Skydome from time to time to complete the works within time frame, she added.


SVIMS Director Dr Vengamma, Cancer Institute Special Officer Dr Jayachandra Reddy, TTD EE Sri Krishna Reddy, APMIDC EE Sri Dhananjaya Reddy, Skydome Director Smt Sushee Papinazath and others were also present.

Make Vontimitta Brahmotsavams A Huge Success With team Work - TTD Eo














The annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kodanda Ramalayam at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district should be organised with grandeur in a successful manner with the team work by TTD and district officials, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


During the review meeting along with the district collector Sri Vijayarama Raju, SP Sri Anburajan at Vontimitta on Thursday, the EO called up the TTD and district officials to execute the ongoing works for the ensuing annual fete scheduled between March 30 to April 8 as a team.

      

He said, arrangements should be made with more care keeping in view the past experiences and the state festival of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam to be observed on a grand scale. The EO said, the honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy will present pattu vastrams and talambralu on behalf of the State Government on the auspicious occasion of celestial kalyanam on April 5. He said another review meeting will be held after a week to verify the progress of works for the ensuing annual fete.


The district Collector Sri Vijayarama Raju said huge gathering of devotees is being anticipated for the celestial Kalyanam and the officials should gear up to made elaborate arrangements for the same including parking, security, distribution of water and annaprasadam, temporary toilets, first aid centres, sign boards, electric generators, PAS etc. He directed his officials to submit a detailed action plan about the execution of their respective works by March 16.


Earlier the TTD EO and Collector have released the annual brahmotsavam posters of Vontimitta. 


JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, Joint Collector Sri Saikanth Verma, SVBC CEO Sri Shanmukh Kumar, TTD CE Sri Nageswara Rao, officials from TTD and district administration of Kadapa were also present.


Buggy Donated




Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) MD and CEO Sri Rakesh Sharma has donated one buggy battery vehicle costing around Rs. 7,66,500 to TTD.


The 6-seater buggy was offered special puja in front of the temple at Tirumala on Thursday before being handed over to temple DyEO Sri Ramesh Babu.


IDBI representative, DI Tirumala Sri Janakirami Reddy was also present.

International Women Day Observed with Elan by TTD Women Employees

 The international women's day was observed in a massive and grand manner by the women folk of TTD at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Wednesday.


Mata Ramyananda Bharati Swamini, Peethadheeswari of Sri Shakti Peetham who graced the occasion in her Anugraha Bhashanam said women are being worshipped in India and this great culture is a role model to the world. 


JEO(H&E) Smt Sada Bhargavi enlightened the women about how to overcome societal challenges with courage and commitment. She also played an audio clip from Kurukshetra war and said even Lord Krishna informs all of us that if a woman is not happy then it ends up in war. For a society to be healthy and prosperous, a woman should be happy", she concluded.


Earlier JEO Sri Veerabrahmam during his welcoming address called upon the women to think about personal health safety. "Due to family responsibilities, a woman never cares about her personal health security. A society will be healthy only if a woman is healthy", he maintained. Smt Goutami IAS, Smt Sarita IPS, Smt Obulamma-Organic Farmer, Smt Ratna Reddy-Philanthropist, Ms Rajani, International Hockey player spoke on occasion and delivered valuable messages. Smt Swarnalatha Reddy, the spouse of TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, told the emergence as supreme force of nature by staying strong during difficult times and embracing up themselves to overcome the troubles with divine power.


Later TTD conferred the Award Sri Padmavathi Vidya Prakasini to the doyen, the architect, the centenarian and the living legend Dr K Rajeswari Murthy(102) on the occasion and the Award was received by Dr DM Premavathi, retired Telugu Head of the Department SPW Degree and PG college. 


Earlier, an AV on 25 women belonging to various fields was displayed and the light display by women employees on the occasion stood as a highlight of the event.


Later Padma Awards were given to meritorious women employees. Retired women employees and blood donors were also felicitated on the occasion followed by prize winners of competitions. 


In the evening cultural programmes were performed by women employees which included Yoga, Skit on women empowerment, fancy dress, Sri Krishna Tulabharam epic drama, classical dances etc. which allured the audience.


Welfare Officer Smt Snehalata supervised the arrangements. All women officers, doctors and others were present.

Teppotsavam Concludes









The annual Teppotsavams of Tirumala concluded on a grand religious note on Tuesday.


Under the sheath of full moonlight, Sri Malayappa along with Sridevi and Bhudevi took out seven celestial rounds on the finely decorated Teppa all along the sacred waters of Swamy Pushkarini to bless the devotees.


HH Sri Pedda Jeeyangar and HH Sri Chinna Jeeyangar of Tirumala, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, Board members Sri Maruti Prasad, Sri Dasari Kiran, EE Sri Jaganmohan Reddy, DyEO Sri Ramesh Babu, Psishkar Sri Srihari, VGO Sri Bali Reddy and others were present.
