Sri Mahalakshmi Deepa Pooja Held with Devotion at Chandragiri

The sacred Sri Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja, dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi, the bestower of prosperity and abundance, was performed with great devotion and spiritual fervour at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple, Chandragiri, on Friday. Thousands of women lit ceremonial lamps and offered prayers, seeking the divine blessings of the Goddess.

TTD Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary said SVBC Channel has been earning the appreciation of devotees by presenting innovative spiritual programmes that promote devotion and spiritual awareness. He expressed happiness over the large participation of women and said the live telecast enabled millions of devotees across India and abroad to experience the divine event.

TTD JEO Dr. A. Sharath said TTD has been organizing various spiritual programmes for the peace, prosperity and well-being of society. He noted that the Sri Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja conducted by SVBC has been inspiring greater spiritual consciousness among devotees.

Chandragiri MLA Sri Pulivarthi Nani said efforts would be made to further develop the historic Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple and improve pilgrim amenities. He appreciated the enthusiastic participation of women and said such spiritual programmes strengthen devotion and social harmony.

Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad Secretary Dr. Medasani Mohan said the sacred lamp symbolizes knowledge, auspiciousness and prosperity, and prayed that the Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja would bring peace, happiness and abundance to every household.

The rituals included Vishvaksena Puja, Punyahavachanam, Deepalakshmi Aradhana and Ashtottara Shatanamarchana, performed as per Agama traditions amidst Vedic chanting and Lakshmi Stotra Parayanam. The temple wore a divine look with the glow of thousands of lamps.

Devotional songs rendered by Annamacharya Project artistes enthralled the devotees. The programme concluded with Nakshatra Harati, Kumbha Harati, and distribution of Tirtha Prasadam.

TTD made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of devotees. TTD Deputy EO Smt. Nagaratna, VGO Sri Giridhar, HDPP Additional Secretary Smt. Kalyani, EE Sri Mallikarjuna Prasad, DE Smt. Saraswathi, officials, priests, Vedic scholars and a large number of devotees participated in the programme.
