Navaratri Brahmotsavams to be Conducted Successfully Akin to Slakatla Brahmotsavams-TTD Addl Eo

The TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary directed all departments to work in close coordination and conduct the Navaratri Brahmotsavams with more enthusiasm, akin to the recently concluded Salakatla Brahmotsavams.

Reviewing the arrangements at Tirumala on Monday evening along with JEO Sri Prabhala Gopinath and CVSO Sri Muralikrishna, he said that, owing to Adhika Masam, the Navaratri Brahmotsavams commences in a little over two weeks gap.

Based on the feedback received during the Salakatla Brahmotsavams, corrective measures have been initiated in various departments. 

As the Navaratri Brahmotsavams coincide with holidays, an additional 20 per cent pilgrim turnout is being anticipated.

Accordingly, advance arrangements are being made for Annaprasadam, procurement, stocking, transportation and logistics.

He said priority would continue to be accorded to common devotees. 

During the Salakatla Brahmotsavams, an average of around 73,000 devotees had Moolavirat darshan every day, while the waiting time was largely restricted to 5–8 hours and a maximum of 10 hours through effective planning.

Necessary restrictions on VIP, privilege and other categories of darshan would be imposed whenever required to reduce the waiting time for common devotees.

The Security arrangements, Vahana Sevas, SVBC live telecasts, cultural programmes and Nada Neerajanam would also be coordinated effectively.

In view of the possibility of rains during October, precautionary and alternative arrangements are being planned in coordination with the district administration and police authorities.

The NDRF services would also be utilised wherever necessary.

The Additional EO appealed to devotees to follow only the official information issued through TTD’s authorised platforms and plan their travel and darshan accordingly.

He directed all departments to work as one team, giving priority to devotee convenience, safety and the maintenance of a spiritual atmosphere for the successful conduct of the upcoming Navaratri Brahmotsavams.
