TTD Chairman and Eo Invites Gov


As the annual Brahmotsavams of Tirumala are scheduled between September 27 to October 5, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy along with TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy invited the Honourable Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Biswabhushan Harichandan for the annual festival.

 

They formally met the first citizen of the State in Raj Bhavan, and presented him Theertha Prasadams, Sesha Vastram of Srivaru along with the Brahmotsavam invitation.

 

Sri RP Sisodia, Special Chief Secretary to the Governor at Raj Bhavan was also present.



 

Sri Venkateswara Employees Training Academy (SVETA) Bags ISO Certification

Venkateswara Employees Training Academy (SVETA) bagged ISO 9001-2015 certification.

 

JEO (H & E) Smt Sada Bhargavi handed over the prestigious certificate to SVETA Director Smt Prasanthi and lauded her efforts for efficiently organizing Training classes to different categories of work force of TTD. The event was held in the chambers' of JEO in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Wednesday.

 

DEO Sri Govindarajan, ISO representatie Sri Sivaiah were also present.



 

TTD Crusade to Popularise Sculpture Art

 With an aim to popularise Indian culture and traditions TTD commenced the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Traditional Sculpture and Architecture(SVITSA) which has completed sixty successful years and marching ahead to spread sculpture arts across the world said TTD JEO for Health and Education, Smt Sada Bhargavi.

 

Inaugurating a three-day workshop on Conventional Sculpture-allied issues at the sculpture institute in Tirupati on Wednesday the TTD JEO in her inaugural address said it is the responsibility of every Indian to protect Indian traditional art and architecture which depicts our ancient glory and culture. TTD would promote more programs like workshops, exhibitions etc. in a big way to nurture its students in the traditional temple sculpting art formats to make them best Sthapathis for future.

 

She said the TTD sculpture school in its six glorious decades of journey had produced several talented Sthapathis who are now occupying higher positions across the world and called upon the students to learns the skills from the masters and become like them.

 

The JEO also said TTD is the only institution which deposits ₹1 lakh in name students to provide them financial stability and present it to the students with interest after completing their course.

 

She said TTD has invited prominent sthapathis from AP, Telangana,Tamilnadu and Karnataka for the workshop for exchange of knowledge and skills. The sculpture exhibition held earlier this year between February 26-March 3 had earned popular response from public.

 

TTD JEO said the sculpture students are also being taught English and computer education to help them in getting jobs. Similarly Kalamkari,Varli arts and Saurashtra painting are also taught as evening courses. The TTD board was also contemplating to elevate the sculpture school into a university, she maintained.

 

Among others Eminent sthapathis Sri Radhakrishna, Dr Dakshinamurthy,Pleach India foundation CEO Dr Shivanagi Reddy delivered lectures to the students useful for their career.

 

TTD DEO Sri Govindarajan, Principal Sri Venkat Reddy also were present.

 

ATTRACTIVE EXHIBITION

 

An exhibition cum sales counters has been organised as part of the ongoing sculpture workshop which was also inaugurated by TTD JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi. Visitors viewed the special stall of Kumari P Sai Devika where different house hold decorative  artefacts made from waste materials were displayed. The exhibition also comprised stalls of statues, kalamkari paintings, handloom sarees, Panchagavya products etc.

 












Overwhelming Response for TTD's Dry Flower Technology Products

 The optimum utility of flowers and garlands used in TTD-run temples to make the divine portraits besides household materials like paper weights, key chains, table calendars, pendants etc.using the traditional Dry Flower Technology method, has been a major hit with devotees.

 

The products have also earned appreciation of the Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy and other Ministers from State and Central as well. TTD and Dr YSR horticultural University had signed an MoU on September 13, 2021 for providing Dry flower technology to make popular products including making the portraits of the Hindu deities including Sri Venkateswara Swamy, Sri Padmavathi Devi, Sri Rama etc.that would attract the devotees in a big way. TTD has also succeeded in the process as there is a huge demand for the DFT portraits among the pilgrim devotees.

As part of agreement first batch women workers were given training in making products at the Citrus Research Station.

 

From September 28 in 2021 onwards the training classes commenced. As many as 340 women from self-help groups were provided training and roped in by TTD to produce the artefacts. Two portraits could be made daily by one person and another 3-4 days for producing the final product. Till now, these trained women have made 22,219 portraits of A4 size and 850 other artefacts all worth Rs.1.19crores. TTD has spent ₹88 lakhs on the equipment besides training SHG women. 

 

TTD has commenced sale of these portraits and artefacts to devotees from January 25. The artefacts are made available at TTD information centres in Tirumala, Tirupati Local temples, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Chennai. Following the growing demand for the DFT products from the pilgrim public, TTD has decided to construct a permanent shed for manufacturing the artefacts and will soon be built at the Citrus Research Station itself.      










AP CM Invited for Annual Brahmotsavams




The Honourable CM of Andhra Pradesh, Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been invited by TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy along with the EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and Tirupati MLA Sri B Karunakar Reddy to take part in the ensuing annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala which are scheduled between September 27 to October 5.

 

The trio formally met the CM of AP in the latter's chambers at his office in SP Secretariat in Velagapudi in Guntur District on Wednesday and handed over him the Brahmotsavam invitation.

 

The CM will present pattu vastrams on behalf of AP Government on September 27 as per the tradition.

 

Pavitrotsavams Commences in Appalayagunta





The annual Pavitrotsavams in Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple at Appalayagunta commenced on a grand religious note on Wednesday.

 

Earlier in the morning, Pavitra Pratishta was performed followed by Snapana Tirumanjanam was rendered to the utsava murthies of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara, Sridevi and Bhudevi.

 

In the evening Yaga Shala activities will be performed by the temple priests.

 

AEO Sri Prabhakar Reddy, Superintendent Smt Srivani, Temple Inspector Sri Venkata Siva were also present.
