Hamsa Vahanam Glides Along Mada Streets







On the second day evening on Tuesday, Sri Ramachandra Swamy as Saraswathi Devi blessed devotees on Hamasa Vahanam as part of ongoing annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kodanda Ramalayam in Tirupati.


Both the Senior and Junior Pontiffs of Tirumala, DyEO Smt Nagaratna, VGO Sri Manohar and others were present.

Annual Fete Commences with Dhwajarohanam at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Vari Temple










The annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Tirupati commenced on a grand note with Dhwajarohanam on Monday in the auspicious Mesha Lagnam between 9:20am and 9:32am.


Kankanabhattar Sri Anandakumar Deekshitulu carried out the temple ritual proceedings as per the tenets of Agama.


Speaking on the occasion, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam said, the Kodandarama Swamy annual festival commenced with Dhwajarohanam. The important days includes Ugadi on March 22, Garuda Seva on March 24, Hanumantha Vahanam on March 25, Rathotsavam on March 27, Chakra Snanam on March 28. As the annual fete is taking place in a full-fledged manner after Covid pandemic, the devotees shall participate in large numbers and embrace the blessings of Sri Kodandarama, he added.


Both the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala, DyEO Smt Nagaratna and other officials, devotees were also present.

Spiritual Enlightment with Annamaiash Kritis - Scholars





As a part of the ongoing 520th Death Anniversary fete of the Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya, the scholars unequivocally proclaimed that the Sankeertans penned by him led people to choose the path of spiritual enlightenment.


On the second day of Sahiti Sadas at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati, renowned scholars including Smt Madhujyothi, former VC of Sri Potti Sriramulu Telugu University Prof.Bhumaiah, Dr Narsimhacharyulu, recalled the dedication of the saint-poet who has taught even a common man to select the spiritual path through his sankeertans, most of which were written in the local slang for a wider reach.


In the evening vocal concerts by Annamacharya Project veteran artists Sri Madhusudhan Rao, Sri Ranganath will be organised. While at Mahati Auditorium, TTD Asthana Vidhwan Dr Balakrishna Prasad and Smt Kesavi and team Bharat Natyam will be performed. 


Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma was also present.


Research on Manuscript Project to be Encouraged





The Manuscript Project of TTD should emerge ideal and stand as an Iconic Project in the entire nation said, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


The EO held a review meeting on the project in SV Vedic University on Monday with the officials concerned to verify the progress of ongoing works. He aspired that the scholars should do research and PhDs on these rare Manuscripts which were scanned and treasured in SV Vedic University. The EO said out of 5500 Manuscript books brought from ASI, scanning of around 3370 were completed. A total of 2,11,313 Manuscripts are available in these "Talapatra Grandhas", he added. 


He has also instructed to complete the scanning of the remaining Manuscripts within a span of two months. "For this we will provide necessary infrastructure and manpower to complete the task on time", he added. 


Earlier, the officials explained EO over the progress of works with the help of a Power Point Presentation. The EO also learnt from them the process of research, scanning, cleaning of Manuscripts and safeguarding techniques. The EO was also told that there are very rare manuscripts available in Jyothisha, Vedanta, Purana, Kavyas which need to be scanned for the sake of future generations. Reacting to this, the EO said, they are the treasure of the country and those manuscripts need to be translated into Telugu which is understandable even to a common individual. In coordination with the Sanatana Jeevan Trust the Manuscript Project of TTD should emerge top in the entire country", he reiterated.


JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi, Vice-Chancellor of SVVU Sri Rani Sadasiva Murthy, Manuscripts Project DyEO Smt Vijayalakshmi, Registrar Sri Radheshyam and others were present.


Online Seva Tickets




TTD is set to release the June month of Online quota of SRIVANI tickets on March 21 at 3pm.


While the online quota of Arjitha Seva tickets including Kalyanotsavam, Dolotsavam, Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas for the month of June will be released on March 23 at 10am and that of Electronic Dip will be available at 11am onwards on March 24. 


The online quota of Angapradakshina tokens for the month of June will be released on March 24 at 10am while that of Senior Citizens and Physically Challenged Darshan tokens for the month of April will be released on March 24 at 3pm.


The devotees are requested to make note of this and book accordingly.


Modern Ayurvedic Hospital - TTD JEo(H&E)
















The TTD-run SV Ayurvedic Hospital should be modernised and developed according to the needs of the patients, directed TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi to the officials concerned.  


During her inspection along with the officials on Monday evening, the JEO visited Salyatantra Department, Dravya Guna, Rasa Shastra Siddhanta, Panchagavya treatment, Paediatric ward, Leech therapy, Kaya Chikitsa, Panchakarma Ward, Central Drug Store, Clinical Lab, Diagnosis lab etc.


During her interaction with the patients, they expressed immense pleasure over the treatment being offered to them by TTD.


The JEO later interacted with the students and took a note of their requirements and instructed the concerned to complete the pending works at a fast pace.


EMPORIUM TO COME UP AT SVISTA


The JEO also paved a visit to SVISTA and instructed the officials concerned to set up an emporium in the college premises so as to encourage the students. She also lauded the students who went to Orissa, Krishna district and underwent training and visited the Art Gallery where in the various crafts by students were put on display. 


CE Sri Nageswara Rao, FACAO Sri Balaji, DEO Sri Bhaskar Reddy, Ayurvedic College Principal Dr Murali Krishna, SVISTA Principal Sri Venkat Reddy, Additional Health Officer Dr Sunil, Ayurvedic Medical Superintendent Dr Renu Dixit and others were also present.


Pedda Sesha Vahana Seva Took Place







On the first day evening of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple, Pedda Sesha Vahana seva held in Tirupati on Monday.


Sri Kodandarama Swamy in all His divine splendour seated on the seven hooded Serpent Vahanam blessed devotees all along the Mada streets.


Both the Senior and Junior Pontiffs of Tirumala, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, DyEO Smt Nagaratna, VGO Sri Manohar, temple officials, large number of devotees took part in the Vahana seva.


CULTURAL PROGRAMMES: The cultural programmes organised by TTD on the occasion allured the devotees.

Render Service and Make Annual Fete A grand Success - TTD JEo






Offer dedicated services to the devotees participating in Vontimitta Brahmotsavams, especially in Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam and make the annual fete as huge hig, said TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam to Srivari Sevaks.


Addressing the sevaks who has come forward to offer services at Vontimitta during the annual fete, the JEO on Sunday said, on tge day of Sita Rama Kalyanam on April 5, the devotees start coming to galleries from 4pm itself. So you all should be prepared with bags containing Annaprasadam, Laddu, Akshata, Pasupu-Kumkuma packets, water sachets etc.


The passes related to service areas will be distributed and you all should render services to devotees with patience, he added. "Keep up the reputation of Srivari Seva live with your impeccable services during Vontimitta Brahmotsavams, he maintained.


CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, GM Transport Sri Sesha Reddy, PRO Dr T Ravi, SVETA Director Smt Prasanthi, VGO Sri Manohar were also present.


Complete Kalyana Vedika Works Before 31st March














TTD officials should Co-ordinate with district officials and make the annual brahmotsavams a huge success said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


During the review meeting held with the District Collector Sri Vijaya Ramaraju, SP Anburajan and other officials in Vontimitta at YSR Kadapa district.


The EO said all the departments should complete the Kalyana Vedika works by March 31 including CC Cameras, Control Room, Barricades, Galleries, electrical and other works. "Another high-level review meeting will be held before this month end", he added.


He said as the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri YS Jaganmoham will present the Pattu Vastrams on behalf of state government on the day of the state festival of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam on April 5.


The Collector said all arrangements for Annaprasadam, Water and Buttermilk distribution, security, electricity, traffic regulation, parking, first aid centres, Help Desks, sign boards, VIP passes, sanitation, Public Address System etc. to be completed within time schedule.


District SP Sri Anburajan said,  during the previous year around 3500 police were deployed while this year 4000 security will be deployed. The personnel deployed for Parking CC cameras, Control Room, etc. will be on duty two days before Kalyanam.  


Later the officials inspected the ongoing works at Kalyana Vedika.


TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, Joint Collector Sri Saikant Verma, CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao and other officials from TTD and district administration were also present.

Ugadi Asthanam on 22nd March



On the auspicious day of Chaitra Suddha Padhyami on March 22, Ugadi Asthanam will be observed in Tirumala temple.


In connection with Ugadi on March 22, the traditional temple cleansing festival Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed on March 21.


As such, TTD has cancelled all the Arjita Sevas on the day of Ugadi.


While TTD has also cancelled VIP Break Darshan on March 21 and 22, owing to Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam and Ugadi respectively. As such, no recommendation letters for VIP Break darshan will be accepted on March 20 and 21.


The devotees are requested to make note of this and co-operate with TTD.

Annamacharya Taught Sharanagata Prapttti to Commonrers - Scholars





Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya has taught Sharanagata Prapatti to the common people through his Sankeertans, univocally said, the scholars who participated in the literary meet on the occasion of 520th Annamacharya Vardhanti.


The programme took place at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on Sunday where in stalwarts like Prof. Mahalakshmi, Prof. Ranganathan, TUDA Secretary Smt Lakshmi participated and said Annamacharya kritis were well received by common man and taught them to incline towards the devotional path.


In the evening, vocal concert by Sri Chaitanya brothers from Vizag will be organised while in Mahati Auditorium, Vocal by Dr Vandana and dance by the students of the Principal of SV College of Music and Dance Dr Uma Muddubala will be performed.


Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma, Astana Vidwan Dr Balakrishna Prasad, renowned Satavadhani Sri Murali participated in the literary meet.
