SAHASRA KALASABHISHEKAM AND HANUMANTHA VAHANAM SEVA HELD GRANDLY AT SRI KODANDARAMA SWAMY TEMPLE

The Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and Hanumantha Vahanam Seva were performed with devotion and grandeur at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Wednesday on the occasion of Amavasya.

As per Vaikhanasa Agama traditions, Pournami, Amavasya, Shukla Ekadasi, Krishna Ekadasi, and the Shravanam and Punarvasu stars have special significance in Vaishnava temples. As part of the observance, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam was performed at 8.30 am. Householders (two persons) who participated in the seva by paying Rs.500 were presented with an uttariyam, blouse piece, laddu and vada prasadam.

Hanumantha Vahanam Seva Draws Devotees

The Hanumantha Vahanam Seva was held from 7 pm to 9 pm. Sri Kodandarama Swamy, adorned in rich ornaments, was taken in a grand procession on His favourite Hanumantha Vahanam through the four Mada streets, blessing the devotees.

The divine sight of Lord Kodandarama on the vahanam of Lord Hanuman, the ardent devotee of Lord Rama, delighted devotees. A large number of devotees gathered to witness the sacred procession.

Deputy EO Smt. B. Nagaratna, Superintendent Sri K. Srinivasulu Reddy, Temple Inspector Sri Suresh, temple priests, staff and a large number of devotees participated in the celebrations.
